Departing from the dock at the Historic Seaport, sail to a mangrove island accessible only by shallow draft boats. Discover the Key West ecosystem as you kayak through mangrove islands, exploring the unique habitats of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge and learning about the diverse flora and fauna.
Head to another favorite spot for snorkeling on the reef, coral heads, or a sponge garden. The best location with optimal visibility will be chosen for the day. A guide will lead you through a tranquil snorkeling area, highlighting the unique animals of the ecosystem and answering any questions.

A Must-Do in Key West! - My mom, sister, and I had the most amazing time hanging out with Brian and Dan today on the guided kayak/snorkel trip. Not only did we see amazing views and wildlife but our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and fun! They were so excited to share tons of info and show their love for the ecosystems surrounding Key West. They scoped out the coolest spots for us to kayak through (literally through!) the mangroves and the snorkeling location was absolutely amazing! We even got to see Dolphins on the way back to town which wasn’t even planned for our excursion. If you are looking for a friendly, family-owned team to take you out on the water in the Keys, whether it’s the snorkel, dolphin tour or sunset cruise, please use Honest Eco! And if you get to sail with Brian and Dan, you are in for a real treat. We will come back next time we’re here!

Amazing Eco Excursion - This excursion has it all - sailing on a catamaran out to the Wildlife Refuge, guided kayaking and snorkeling/swimming. Dan and Charlie were perfect hosts, and extremely knowledgeable about the ecosystem. Loved that they keep the group small (we had 10 people) and the delicious snacks - they really take care of you. Highly recommended.

Awesome Crew, Tours, and Small Company - I took the guided kayaking and snorkel tour - it was unlike (in a good way) any other water tour I’ve taken in Key West. Dan and Jackie were an outstanding crew, they kept it light, fun, and safe. The kayak tour amongst the mangroves (you actually paddle into them!) was super informative and interesting. The snorkeling portion was not at a dying reef (typical of most Key West snorkeling trips), but at the Key West National Wildlife Refuge where Jackie pointed out live sponges, lobsters, and fish. While on the boat, we were served fresh pineapple, carrots, cucumbers, and delicious hummus. Honest Eco is genuinely concerned about the environment, they are a top notch operation. I would re-book with them in an instant.

Knowledgeable and Friendly - Captain Dan and Charlie were great. Charlie was very knowledgeable on sea life and we enjoyed the entire trip. Great snacks and cold water. Great option for someone not interested in the boozy tours and crappy food out there.

Water, wildlife & wows - Captain Alexa and Charlie worked together like a well oiled machine to make the trip fun and fascinating! Give these two raises! ;)
It was a great experience out on the water.
As a bonus, I asked Charlie for advice on fulfilling a dream of seeing manatees and his guidance was spot-on! I found some! Thanks Charlie!

Highly recommend! We had an fantastic time and would definitely go again - We had an absolutely amazing morning with Alexa and Jackie exploring the edge of a mangrove island and then snorkeling on the sponge "reef"! They are incredibly knowledgeable about the environment, and we learned so much about the keys ecosystem. Plus, they are just kind, energetic people and heart and even most of Jackie's jokes were funny:) Our biggest challenge for them was finding a way to get Lauren into the kayaks, wetsuit and snorkel equipment because she has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. No worries, though! They rose to the occasion and made sure everyone in our group had a great trip. I highly recommend choosing this tour if you're looking for an alternative to the crowded booze cruises and want to learn about the keys ecosystem and enjoy a great sail.

A Day To Rember! - What an amazing experience. The mangroves that we travelled to were way offshore and as pristine as it gets. Our captain, Alexa got us there through a maze of sandbars and got us within kayaking distance. That is when our naturalist guide/biologist Jacki took over and describe the incredible wildlife we were sharing the mangroves with. Including the small sharks swimming around our kayaks. Afterwards we jumped in and had an amazing snorkel around the garden of sponges filled with all sorts of fish life. On our way back Captain Alexa set sail while we watched for dplphins all the way back home to Key West. Certainly a day on the water we will all remember for a long time to come.

A great way to see nature around Key West - Our family had a great experience on the Honest Eco "Kayak + Guided Snorkel & Morning Sail." While the snorkeling was a bit underwhelming on our particular trip due to recent storms, it was amazing while out kayaking to see dolphins, a sea turtle, pelicans, frigate birds, an iguana, and upside-down jellyfish by the mangroves. We appreciated the friendly crew and their fresh fruit & veggies.

Business practices leave much to be desired - I never took the tour so my rating reflects my opinion of the business practices of Honest Eco. I booked a dolphin and snorkeling tour 2 1/2 weeks in advance. The day before the scheduled tour I was notified by Honest Eco that my companion and I were the only two who had booked that specific tour so they asked if we could choose a different date and time. We agreed, but asked that they notify us if our originally scheduled tour got more reservations and would take place because it's the one we preferred. We came to learn that our originally scheduled tour did in fact take place. When I questioned Honest Eco we were told that a private group had reserved the whole boat so they could not accommodate us. I don't know whether I was told the truth or whether Honest Eco was just juggling people around, including us, to fill up their boats. Honest Eco apologized and refunded our money. They may give great tours but their business practices leave much to be desired.
