Beyond wonderful time! - First, we cannot thank Devin (the owner) enough for making our booking process work so well with a complicated time change request right out the gate. Also, we were celebrating my son’s 10th birthday, and we could not have had a more magical time. Our guide was David, who was so fun to be with and great with my kids. We saw awesome wildlife and had a great time. Words can’t describe how touched we were that Devin had a cake waiting for us on the boat when we returned, and the whole team sang happy birthday and celebrated with my son. We were so touched, and my son was thrilled. There are good people in this world - thank you so much for making this so special, Devin!

It was a very beautiful wet and rainy day in the cove. - It was a beautiful wet and rainy day in the cove. The water was calm and beautiful with minimal wind. My Mom and I ended up with a private guide. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and good conversation. We were able to stay mostly dry and warm with the great equipment they supplied us. We had a slow and calm paddle for about 1.5 hours about 2 miles. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see a beautiful cove and enjoy a peaceful paddle no matter the weather.

Unforgettable Alaskan Experience - We had a fantastic time on the fast boat and kayaking tour at Orca Cove! Lucas, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing great insights about Ketchikan and the surrounding area. A major highlight was when our boat captain, Devon, spotted a whale and got us close enough to watch it feed—absolutely incredible! The entire experience was peaceful and beautiful, exactly what we were looking for in Alaska. We were also impressed by how the staff handled our tight cruise schedule, even making calls to ensure we got back on time. Highly recommend this tour!!!

Amazing value - Such an amazing experience! I own a kayak company, and this tour is such an amazing value! They need to be charging more. The entire experience was 5 star.

If you don't do anything else in Alaska...do this! - We had the best time! We were blessed with great weather, but also had amazing guides that were super knowledgeable and organized. From the moment we checked in to the moment we were dropped off, we felt safe and taken care of. This was my favorite excursion on our 7-day Alaskan cruise. I could not recommend this enough!

Perfect excursion! - The absolute best thing we did on our Alaska cruise. Our tour guide David was amazing with our kids and super patient, we kayaked no less than 30 feet from a pod of orcas and it was a once in a lifetime experience. He pointed out awesome sights and got starfish for the kids to hold, it was so well run and every part of the trip was enjoyable! The snacks at the end were just perfect.

Highlight of our Vacation - The owner was very accommodating when weather got bad but we were able to go to another area to kayak. The guides (Lukas and David) were amazing. Knowledgeable, fun, took us to see various places, etc. We saw a waterfall up and close, eagles, whales, sea lions. They had a great snack after which was great, as we ended up kayaking a little longer than typical of the excursion. Overall, highly recommend!

Not worth the price - In a 3 hour excursion, only ~1 hour was actually spent on the kayaks and we felt rushed the whole time. We were paddling 95% of the time and didn't have any real time to stop and enjoy the scenery. Our guide was nice but net loud and talked the entire time, often about his personal life and past. The goal for us was to get out into nature and enjoy the sounds and relax. That's not what this tour was. Everyone else in our group loved it, though so it just depends on what you're looking for. We came back 5 mins late apparently and were rushed onto the boat to leave without any real time for the salmon snacks and beer everyone raves about. No whales as of mid July 2025 but I understand they can't control that.
