Day 1: Mombasa/Diani to Saltlick
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - Guests will be picked up from their beach hotel early in the morning and travel by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. An exciting game drive will be enjoyed along the journey. Upon reaching Taita Hills Lodge, lunch will be served, followed by some relaxation before heading out for another game drive in the sanctuary, seeking lions and other wildlife until sunset.
Afterward, guests will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Salt Lick Lodge. This lodge is particularly notable for its creative design. A series of rondavels are elevated on stilts above several water holes. These two-story towers, topped with peaked thatch roofs and connected by open-air bridges, create an African fantasy reminiscent of a medieval fortress. The lodge is designed with game viewing in mind, offering a panoramic view of the sanctuary and providing breathtaking views of the landscape and wildlife.
Day 2: Salt Lick to Mombasa/Diani
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - After an early morning breakfast, guests will embark on a half-day game drive. Around noon, the journey back to Mombasa will begin, with a game drive and lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Mombasa, guests will be dropped off at their beach hotel, marking the end of the safari.
