Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - Upon landing at JKIA Airport, you will be met by Amazing Memories Safaris and Tours Representative who will give you a briefing concerning your safari. He will introduce you to your guide who will take you through the safari.
You will then drive to Amboseli National Park. The ecosystem here is mainly Savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Masai and enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
You will arrive at Amboseli Kibo Safari Lodge or similar for lunch with a game drive en route. You will also go for an afternoon game drive at 4 pm and return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - Spend all day in the park on morning and afternoon game-viewing drives. Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, and wild dog among others. There are also over 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, marital eagle, and pygmy falcon. Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants. The bull elephants have some of the largest tusks in all of Kenya. Visitors can also enjoy excellent views of Mt Kilimanjaro. All meals and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp or similar.
Amboseli-Aberdare National Park
Aberdare National Park - Morning breakfast and then drive to Aberdare via Nairobi.
You will arrive in time for lunch at The Ark Game Lodge or similar.
Later in the afternoon, after lunch, you will have a game drive at Aberdare National Park.
You will later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru - Morning breakfast and then drive to Lake Nakuru.
You will arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Flamingo Hill Tented Camp.
About Lake Nakuru:
The park lies in Central Kenya, 140km north-west of Nairobi, in the Nakuru district of the Rift Valley Province. The ecosystem comprises the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grasslands. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.
Later, you will return for Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.
Lake Nakuru-Maasai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast, check out and drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in the Maa language. This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern annexe to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. You will arrive for lunch at Mara Sopa or similar. Afternoon game drive until sunset in this spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains, and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. The landscape is made up of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
Maasai Mara National Park
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Have a full day of game-watching with morning and afternoon game drives. Wildlife is abundant in the Reserve with the gentle grasslands ensuring that animals are never out of sight. Birds are prolific including immigrants, over 450 bird species have been recorded, among them 57 birds of prey. Every year the Mara plays host to the world’s greatest natural spectacle; The Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti. which occurs from the months of July to October, the promise of rain and fresh life-giving grass in the north brings more than 1.5 million Wildebeest together into a massive herd. They converge across the border into the Mara, making a spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon. The big cats – lion, leopard, and cheetah – are the predators of the savannah and the wildebeest, essentially their main source of food. So the Mara at this time is literally packed with wildlife, Dinner, and overnight at the lodge.
Maasai Mara-Nairobi
Nairobi - After breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi where you will spend the day at leisure with optional activities depending on your flight schedule. Later you will be transferred to the airport or your hotel in Nairobi.
