Bearing the honor of Africa’s tallest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park is one of the most visited attractions in Kenya. The park’s name, ‘Amboseli,’ originates from a Maasai phrase that means ‘salty dust,’ and it is one of the most suitable locations in Africa to observe large congregations of elephants intimately. It offers an ecological diversity, with five distinct habitats spanning from the dry Lake Amboseli bed, wetlands featuring sulphur springs, to the savannah and forests. There is also the opportunity to interact with the local Maasai tribe, living around the park and immerse oneself in their rich culture. Begin your day by reveling in an early morning vista of Kilimanjaro, and discover the riches of Amboseli National Park.
A day at the park begins with an early morning pickup from the hotel, following which you will journey along Mombasa road, make a stop at Emali tourist souvenir shop for a brief recess, and then continue towards the camp in time for lunch.
