Nairobi-Samburu National Reserve
Samburu National Reserve - NAIROBI TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Begin your Vagan safari adventure on the first day. The guide/driver will collect you early in the morning from your hotel or the airport. Travel north from Nairobi, passing the Equator and the stunning Mount Kenya, to reach the expansive savannah of Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge. After lunch, relax until 4 PM, then embark on a two-hour afternoon game drive. Return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Samburu National Reserve - Samburu Reserve is home to the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa’s oryx, long-necked gerenuk, and the blue-legged Somali ostrich. The reserve features a desert landscape with dusty red plains and thorny scrub, offering dramatic views of the table mountain Ol Olokwe on the horizon. Samburu is a true paradise for nature enthusiasts and travelers seeking tranquility. Three protected areas around the Ewaso Ngiro River form part of the same ecosystem: Samburu and Buffalo Springs reserves to the west, and Shaba to the east.
Samburu National Reserve Full Day
Samburu National Reserve - Start the day with an early morning game drive in the reserve. Return to the camp for breakfast and enjoy a relaxing mid-morning. After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Samburu Sopa Lodge.
Samburu-Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Ol Pejeta Conservancy - After breakfast, drive to Ol Pejeta. Formerly known as Sweetwaters, Ol Pejeta is a privately-owned 90,000-acre wildlife conservancy. Once a cattle ranch, you can still see wildlife and cattle grazing together in some areas. The conservancy is located on the equator, high on a plateau between the Aberdares range and Mount Kenya. It hosts a wide variety of animals, including the ‘big five’, and numerous bird species. On a clear morning, you may enjoy panoramic views of Mt Kenya and its snow-capped peaks. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Comfort Gardens Sweetwaters. After lunch, relax before starting an afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge in the late evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ol Pejeta -Masai Mara
Masai Mara National Reserve - Enjoy an early morning breakfast before departing for Masai Mara National Reserve. Travel along the Great Rift Valley of Kenya towards Masai Mara, check into your camp for lunch and relaxation at La Maison Royale Masai Mara Camp. At 4 PM, depart for an afternoon game drive, then return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Masai Mara National Reserve - Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s most renowned parks and is undoubtedly one of the continent’s best places for wildlife viewing. The grassy plains and regular rainfall support a large population of herbivores, attracting many predators. All three big cats are relatively easy to spot. The annual wildebeest migration through the park is one of the world’s most incredible wildlife spectacles.
Masai Mara Full Day
Masai Mara National Reserve - Have breakfast at 6:30 am and at 7 am, set out for a full day of game viewing in the park. Spend the day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the big five, hippos, and Nile crocodiles. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park under a croton tree shade, overlooking the vast landscape. The Mara hosts the spectacular natural event of the great migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture, followed by savanna predators like lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures. Return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay at La Maison Royale Masai Mara.
Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island
Lake Naivasha - After breakfast at the camp, load your luggage onto the tour Jeep and proceed to Lake Naivasha, with a few stops along the way to stretch and use the facilities. Arrive in time for lunch, check in, and have lunch at Naivasha Kongoni Lodge. In the afternoon, visit Lake Naivasha for a guided boat safari to witness the concentrated wildlife, vibrant birdlife, and the lake’s beauty. Also, enjoy a Nature Walk at Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. This is one of the few places where you can walk amidst wild animals like zebra, giraffe, gnu, waterbuck, warthog, and impala, with no predators. This island was the filming location for famous movies like Out Of Africa and Born Free.
Lake Naivasha - Lake Naivasha is located in the East African Rift Valley at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters, making it the highest lake in the Rift Valley. Like Lake Baringo, it is a freshwater lake, while other Rift Valley lakes contain saltwater. Lake Naivasha covers approximately 150 km², though its size can vary with water levels. It is home to a significant variety of birds, with around 300 species residing here.
Crescent Island Game Park - At Crescent Island, you can get close to the wildlife during a walking safari. Your guide is knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Crescent Island and will provide insights into the area’s ecology, pointing out the varied bird and wildlife. Fish eagles call from above as you explore the island, surrounded by the sounds and smells of the African bush. You may encounter a beautiful Masai giraffe or the tiny dik-dik antelope as you walk through the papyrus and grasses of this tranquil haven. This island was the filming location for famous movies like Out Of Africa and Born Free.
Lake Naivasha-Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - After an early morning breakfast, head to Amboseli National Park. Along the way, stop to stretch and use the washroom. Drive to the Great Rift Valley, the largest rift in the world and a stunning landscape feature of East Africa. Enjoy the fantastic panorama at the View Point. Arrive at Little Amanya Camp in time for lunch and relaxation before your afternoon game drive. Later, start the afternoon game drive and visit the local Maasai community around the park to experience their authentic culture. At 6 PM, return for dinner and an overnight stay at Little Amanya Camp Amboseli.
Amboseli National Park - Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s safari icons, known for its big-tusked elephants and big cats (lions, and sometimes cheetahs), all set against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. It’s a beautiful, compact park with abundant wildlife, including flamingos and easily spotted hyenas. The early morning or late afternoon offers magical safari moments when the clouds part to reveal Kilimanjaro’s summit.
Amboseli Full Day
Amboseli National Park - Today promises a full-day adventure. Enjoy an early breakfast and depart with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive. The guide will strive to showcase the best of nature in Amboseli National Park. Enjoy your packed lunch at the famous Observation Hill, taking in the panoramic view of Amboseli National Park and Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your camp in the late afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay at Little Amanya Camp Amboseli.
Amboseli-Tsavo West National Park
Tsavo National Park West - Depart after breakfast, check out, and head to Tsavo West National Park. Stop at Shetani Lava Flow and visit Mzima Springs. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Ngulia Safari Lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and visit the Rhino Sanctuary. Return to the lodge in the late evening for dinner and an overnight stay at Ngulia Safari Lodge.
