Baquianos Travel - Begin your journey from your hotel in Santa Marta, heading towards Minca, a charming village situated 650 meters above sea level. Visit the La Victoria coffee farm to discover the process of organic coffee production. After completing the tour at the coffee plantation, continue along a rustic and unpaved road to reach La María farm in the village of La Tagua, where the vehicle will stop. Once ready at María farm, embark on a two-hour hike to the Eco-touristic Finca Santa Elena. Upon arrival at Santa Elena farm, settle in, explore the surroundings, and enjoy a sunset view over the mountains, the Ciénaga Grande, and the Caribbean Sea.
Day 2
Cerro Kennedy - Rise early to witness the sunrise over the Sierra Nevada and admire the snowy peaks while savoring a delightful cup of organic coffee from the Sierra Nevada. Enjoy a traditional breakfast at 6:00 am before starting a 3-hour hike on private trails to The Peak, an eco-touristic viewpoint of the Sierra Nevada, located approximately 3,100 meters above sea level. Throughout the hike, enjoy stunning views of the mountains, particularly the snowy peaks of Bolívar and Colón. The walk takes you along various paths, enhancing the experience as you cross streams and water springs. Additionally, there will be opportunities to observe a wide variety of endemic birds native to this region. Return to the Eco-touristic Finca Santa Elena for lunch, then proceed to the road for the journey back to Santa Marta.
