- Eagle Square - Eagle Square, also known locally as Dataran Lang, is one of Langkawi’s best known man-made attractions, a large sculpture of an eagle poised to take flight. A sight that greets visitors to the island via ferry, the 12 metre-tall statue is one of the island’s most instantly recognizable monuments. Located at the southeast corner of Pulau Langkawi, besides offering beautiful views of Kuah Bay, Dataran Lang has beautiful miniature fountains, terraces and bridges, making it the ideal place for those postcard-perfect holiday photos. The square is a good place to watch ferries ply across the harbour but plan a trip here early in the morning or late in the evening when the sun is at its least intense.

Personal driver tour of Langkawi - Booking a tour of the island with a personal driver was the best experience as he fully catered for all our needs. A great and personalized tour. Would highly recommend.

A Day Trip to Langkawi - It was a fabulous experience of our life booking Langkawi tour with Jara Holidays. Brother Shahril , our cab driver was like a family . He took us to amazing sightseeing here. Even he managed to get Dosa for us in Langkawi. My family enjoyed the best of Mangroves Forest. The boat ride through the sea was amazing. These beautiful memories were worth watching. Thank you so much.

Fantastic day out - Fantastic day out getting to see different parts of the island. Our tour guide Abu was very friendly and shared alot of his local knowledge. He was also flexible in terms of adjusting part of the trip due to another booking we had made. Take extra money if you would like the quad bike experience with photos

Personalised care from Abu Bhai - I took this Private one day Highlights Langkawi tour on 11th October with my wife and 10yrs old daughter Kairavi.
Abu Bhai was our chauffeur and guide. He reached our pick up location well ahead of time and patiently waited for us to get ready.
He made our day tour amazing with his clear knowledge about the area and history. He gave personalised care to all the three of us and communicated in a very friendly yet professional manner.
He explained about the different spots where we stopped.
The cable car ride was amazing. This was the longest and steepest that we had ever experienced so far. It was drizzling and the view was spectacular.
We had a great time and would opt for the same trip once more, possible taking along more friends this time.

Great Experience - Had a really great experience with our guide Mr. Daud. We were lucky to see the SkyBridge before it was engulfed in the clouds. Though we started late, Mr. Daud was very flexible with our itinerary and ensured we had enough time to cover the main attractions in the island.

A very good island tour that covers all that Langkawi has to offer - When we took this tour the weather took a turn for the worst as soon as we got into the car at our hotel. It was just at the start of the rainy season and was our first full day on Langkawi. As luck would have it, our next four days were all glorious weather with no rain!
Despite the rain this island tour was very good and our tour guide, Fatin, was very friendly, chatty and interesting. Luckily, although there was sporadic rain throught the day, there were also periods of sunshine.
Fatin took us to several places of interest and we enjoyed the day. The island was bigger than we thought it would be, and Fatin gave us lots of interesting detail about Langkawi.
The cable car and sky bridge were closed in the afternoon, due to the weather. However, Fatin sent us a voucher for the Cable Car, Sky Bridge etc, that we used the next day and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
All in all, despite the weather, this was a lovely day in the company of Fatin, who made the day a success.

Except for the language everything is fine - Despite booking confirmation with German speaking guide, only one English speaking was available. However, the latter has made a fair effort

Can you make - We were driven by the driver to the sights. Information on these was only available to a very limited extent. In advance we had ticked the option "German guidebook", our guide spoke English. We were offered additional services unsolicited and we had to insist somewhat that we drive to all listed sights. All in all, if you read yourself a little bit, that's okay.

Scam don't go for it - Here is a detailed account of what occurred:
1. Unnecessary Add-Ons and Overcharges
• The driver first took us to Eagle Square, which was part of the itinerary, but then insisted on an ATV ride at an external agency. This was not included in the package, and she claimed it would be a “great experience.”
• We reluctantly trusted her, but the ATV provider charged us 472 Ringgit (106 USD)—grossly overpriced compared to the local market rates of 80-120 Ringgit (27 USD maximum).
• The entire situation felt exploitative, leaving us with no alternative but to comply due to her persistence.
2. Attempted Overcharge at Mangrove River Ride
• Following the ATV ride, the driver took us to the mangrove river ride agency, where we were asked to pay 500 Ringgit.
• By this point, we recognized the pattern of exploitation and refused to participate.
3. Delay at Cable Car Ride
• On the return journey, we were forced to wait 25 minutes at the cable car ride as the driver left to attend to personal matters, further disrupting our experience.
4. Overpriced Driver Charges
• Upon review, we discovered that the standard rate for drivers in the area is approximately 150 Ringgit (34 USD)—a stark contrast to the inflated charges we incurred.
It is evident that this driver prioritized her personal agenda and kickback arrangements with local agencies over ensuring a genuine and satisfactory experience for her passengers.
