Exhilarating experience - The trip was quite thrilling. It was a very memorable motor boat ride in the sea. One should not skip this island hopping while visiting Langkawi.

A great adventure - The tour was a fantastic experience that exceeded all my expectations! Our tour guide, Sara, was knowledgeable, professional and fun, and the way in which she explained scientific facts was interactive and highly interesting. The natural beauty of the Langkawi mangroves is a must-see! The captain of the boat... So skillful!!! A wonderful experience altogether - highly recommended.

Boat ride was fast and... - Boat ride was fast and enjoyable. The captain was fab and we felt safe throughout. We had six people on our boat which was such a nice number and would love to do it again. Enjoyed the beach, sea eagle feeding and pregnant lady views more than the fresh water lake activity.

A day on the seas of Langkawi - Loved the boat ride, enjoyed the Islands. The feeding of Eagles was fascinating. Saw a little view of the lake, you need to be fit to enjoy it.

Worth the trip. - Was an enjoyable experience. But need to be adaptable for people who can’t get onto boats. Staff friendly and helpful

Island tour trip - this is my 4th time go to Langkawi. I like island tour but it's more fun if the owner of boat tell us a little bit history about "dayang bunting" , beras basah etc.

Boat trip - Not a bad trip but have been on better.
The boat was a bit crowded, so struggled to take photos of the eagles diving for food.
The lake we first stopped at was so busy, it took away the beauty of the place, lots of people bobbing about in a small area as the rest was roped off.
On the last island we spent an hour relaxing, it was really nice as only a couple of boats there, so felt secluded and not busy at all.
Overall it was OK
but not brilliant.

Simple trip to see more - This tour is OK if you want to spend a few hours seeing something away from the main island. It is a no frills experience.
Pick up arrived and transferred to the jetty. Simple instructions to just walk down the jetty with close to a hundred other people and you will be taken care of (no signs or other staff). We did get on a boat after a 10 minute wait.
The trip speeding out across the sea was enjoyable and then we were dropped off at Daitung Bunting to see the largest freshwater lake in Langkawi. More waiting in line to pay the entrance fee and then restricted to a small area of the lake with a thousand plus people. Nothing stunning though. We had 90 minutes there but it was only about 55 minutes if you remove the waiting time to purchase tickets and the walk to and from the lake.
Whisked off across the waters again with a stop whilst on the water to watch the eagles soar and then dive to snatch food from the water. This was about 10 minutes and quite the sight with what looked like over 20 eagles dancing through the sky and then making their move downwards to eat the food thrown out by the boats.
Finally we stopped for 60 minutes on another island with a nice strip of sand. Be prepared to share it again with lots of people. We had 60 minutes here and it was a little short. Would have preferred at least 90 minutes. In total on the water and islands was 3 hours.

Memorable trip for wrong reasons. - Communication regarding booking process was 5 Star. The van driver who picked us up was very friendly and welcoming. The van used to pick us up from our accommodation could be upgraded, to give Viator a better first up impression in Malaysia. But that led to our
first Viator tour that we felt disappointed with due to the poor interactions with the tour guide. He did not interact with any of the paying guests, gave no introduction or commentary, provided no history of places we visited. Unfortunately the tour guide could only speak one or two words in English, and I doubt if he knew any other language as he did not communicate with any of the members of our group. At the end of the tour he even failed to say thank you or good bye to us or to any of the paying guests. Yet that was not the most disrespectful act he did on the day. He was observered smoking a cigarette inside the boat whilst approaching the jetty to pick us up from the beautiful Dayang Bunting island, and without hesitation he deliberatlely (like it was normal practice) blatantly discarded his cigarette butt over the side of the boat into the water. This was a very disappointing experience compared to our previous experience on Viator tours. A decent tour guide could have made this a fun filled memory, as the people on the tour were friendly, eager and friendly. The island hopping tour itself I would recommend to all visitors to Langkawi to see the beautiful places we visited, but based on this experience I would not recommend Viator due to the lack of inclusion and behaviour by the boat tour guide.
