No certification or prior experience is necessary to rent a SUP. However, beginners are advised to start at Amager Beach for a more suitable experience.
The main canal can be busy, with waves from tourist boats and harbor buses, so it’s important to be comfortable in the water as there’s always a chance of falling in while paddling.
A helpful tip is that smaller vessels should stay closer to the quay. SUPs, kayaks, rowboats, and rental boats should remain near the shore, keeping the quay edge on the right side.
Please note: Paddling is permitted in the smaller canals of Copenhagen, except for the “Nyhavn” canal.

For those new to SUP, it is recommended to visit our Watersports center at Amager Beach first.

- Children between the ages of 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult. They are not allowed on the water by themselves
