Great time learning to surf! - We had a fantastic time surfing with Patrick at Hanalei Bay. We booked the 8:30 am time, and we mostly had the small break to ourselves. The waves were small, but perfect for people just learning. Patrick gave a thorough explanation before we got out on the water. He had a super positive, fun attitude and was a great instructor. It was easy to book and check in at the shop (stay to look around, they have a ton of cute stuff!).

Hawaiian Surfing Adventures is the best on Kauai! - Incredible experience surfing at Hanalei Bay! Kawai was a great instructor who helped my wife, daughter and I catch every great wave. He was engaging in between waves and provided great tips on each subsequent run. Will 100% go back to Hawaiian Surfing Adventures - great family, great experience!

We all stood up! - Had a great time learning to surf with Hendrix - he knew how to pick a wave and explain the concepts leading to all of us being able to stand in the first couple of waves!

Kids' favorite activity on Kauai - We had 2 instructors (Luca and Jack) for our family of 4. Kids (ages 12-14) had a blast and all got up on their surf boards. We had so much fun that we ended up renting surf boards for the rest of the day so we could keep surfing. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The area was beautiful. It was very safe with a sand bottom where we were surfing. The only minor issue was the photography. I ended up not taking any pics of my family since we bought the photography package. I thought it would include all the pics, turns out you get a thumbnail and have to pay more if you want the digital pics. Lesson learned. The pics were great, I just didn't realize it was going to cost more than the initial fee. Regardless, this my kids' favorite adventure on Kauai and would 100% recommend it. We had tried surfing on the Big Island and this was a million times better.

Our surf instructor,... - Our surf instructor, Luca, did an amazing job. He was very patient with my two daughter and me. His instructions were clear and on point which allowed us to “catch” waves with each set. The front office and shuttle drive were also kind and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn how to surf.

Stress free surfing lesson! - My wife and I got the opportunity to get refreshed on surfing while in Kauai. We had both learned when we were younger but hadn’t tried to surf in years. We got matched with Patrick and he was awesome! He instructed us from start to finish and we did indeed catch some waves. He was very knowledgeable and really fun to hang out with. If you are looking for a stress free time to learn how to surf this place has it figured out. Mahalo!
