Sigiriya - Kandy

Dambulla Cave Temple - Heading north, the tour visits the breathtaking Dambulla Cave Temple. This temple comprises five caves, housing some of Sri Lanka’s most significant religious art, with statues and drawings dating back 2000 years. Located 150 meters above the road, the caves offer stunning views, including a sight of Sigiriya, where the tour returns for another night after Dambulla.

Kandy - Upon arrival in Kandy, the group will stay overnight. Sightseeing in Kandy can begin, with more to follow the next day. Known as Sri Lanka’s cultural capital, Kandy offers a scenic lake walk and a visit to the old city with its colonial architecture, tailored to the group’s energy and interest levels.

Kandy - Ella

Royal Botanical Gardens - Continuing the journey through Kandy, the tour visits the renowned Botanical Garden nearby. This is one of Sri Lanka’s largest and most impressive gardens, featuring a diverse array of plants, birds, and playful monkeys. It is a top choice in Lonely Planet’s recommendations.

Nuwara Eliya - The tour proceeds to the charming city of Nuwara Eliya, celebrated for its stunning natural surroundings. Nestled among mountains, it was a retreat for British officials during colonial times. Nearby, the beautiful Victoria Park is also worth a visit.

Ella - Participants can take a scenic train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, known for its breathtaking views as it winds through mountains and untouched nature. Upon arrival in Ella, the group will explore the quaint city and enjoy a meal, staying overnight.

Ella - Mirissa

Nine Arches Bridge - The tour visits the iconic Nine Arches Bridge near Ella, a popular photo spot. Visitors can take photos or simply enjoy the view.

Rawana Falls - On the journey south, the tour stops at Rawana Falls, one of Sri Lanka’s tallest and most beautiful waterfalls. Here, participants can rest and take in the scenery, with opportunities for photography.

Mirissa Beach - The journey concludes in Mirissa, home to the stunning Mirissa Beach. Visitors can savor fresh fish and cocktails while relaxing with their feet in the sand, a perfect end to an adventurous journey. If desired, alternative destinations in the south can be arranged.

Mirissa - Galle

Galle Dutch Fort - The Galle Dutch Fort in Galle, Sri Lanka, is a historic site with colonial Dutch influences. Initially developed by the Portuguese in the 16th century and fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century, the fort is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. It features well-preserved colonial architecture, narrow streets, and charming buildings, offering a blend of history, culture, and scenic views of the Indian Ocean.

Galle to Colombo Airport

Katunayake - The tour concludes with travel to Bandaranaike International Colombo Airport.
