The Sikles trek diverges from the main paths, offering a warm welcome from the villages along the way. This circular route takes travelers through the villages of the Buddhist Gurung people, who are of Tibetan descent. The journey includes walking through rice paddies and cornfields, then crossing a ridge covered in lush forest, with Machapuchare occasionally overshadowing the Annapurnas.

Despite its proximity to the main trekking area in the Annapurna region, the Sikles Trek is a much less developed path, with very few lodges or guesthouses. The destination is the stunning and meticulously maintained village of Siklis, situated on a hillock at an elevation of 1980 meters. Siklis is renowned for its well-preserved rustic charm and traditional Gurung village experience. The village comprises five traditional neighborhoods (Lama-thar, Sabha-thar, Harpu-thar, Dhaprang-thar, and Gairi-thar), each holding unique significance within the community. In this Buddhist community, the Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest) play vital roles in marriage, death, and daily life.

Siklis village is located above the Mardi Khola (1,981 m), with views of Annapurna IV to the north and Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal to the east.
