The journey from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi is an adventurous off-road drive passing through Trisuli and Dhunche. The distance from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi is approximately 122 km, with an elevation of 1,503 meters above sea level.

In Dhunche, there is a Langtang National Park check post. If you do not have a Langtang National Park permit, you must obtain one here to enter the Langtang National Park area for trekking. You will need one passport-sized photo and your passport details to issue the Langtang permit.
