• Kathmandu - After breakfast, we will begin our festivities by smearing hues on each other’s faces. Subsequently, we’ll head to Basantapur Durbar Square, which is the hub of the majority of the celebrations. There, you’ll witness crowds engaging in songs, dances, and the playful tossing of colors, and you’re welcome to participate. Afterwards, we’ll go back to the hotel for a bath and some well-deserved relaxation.

Holi, famously known as the “Festival of Colors,” is a Nepali springtime celebration observed nationwide in Nepal. It marks the triumph of good over evil, the onset of spring, the cessation of winter, and is perceived by many as a celebratory day for socializing, indulging in fun and games, dancing, letting go of past grievances, forgiving, and mending strained relationships. Holi is commemorated on the Purnima (Full Moon day) that occurs in the Falgun month of the Vikram Samvat Hindu Calendar, which corresponds to sometime around late February to mid-March in the Gregorian calendar.
