- Kathmandu - Day 1: Journey from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (870m)
The adventure begins with an early morning drive from the vibrant city of Kathmandu to the tranquil village of Machha Khola. The route meanders through lush hills, rivers, and terraced fields. By evening, the journey concludes at the banks of the Budi Gandaki River, where the warm hospitality of Machha Khola awaits.
- Manaslu - Day 2: Trek to Jagat (1,340m)
Following the Budi Gandaki upstream, today’s path features waterfalls, hot springs, and deep river gorges. A suspension bridge crossing and a passage through Tatopani lead to the stone-paved village of Jagat — the entry checkpoint to the Manaslu Conservation Area.
- Manaslu - Day 3: Trek to Deng (1,860m)
The trail narrows as it winds through enchanting forests and small Gurung settlements. Villages like Salleri and Philim, known for their rich cultural diversity and traditional homes, are passed along the way. By afternoon, Deng is reached — a village marking the entry into a more remote and culturally Tibetan landscape.
- Manaslu - Day 4: Trek to Namrung (2,630m)
As the ascent continues, the landscape transforms dramatically. The trek passes through dense pine and rhododendron forests, offering the first glimpses of snow-capped mountains. The path winds through mani walls and prayer flags before arriving at Namrung, a serene village with breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal and Siringi Himal.
- Manaslu - Day 5: Trek to Lho (3,180m)
The journey gradually enters the Nubri region, rich in Tibetan-influenced culture and language. The trail passes through Sho, leading to the picturesque village of Lho, where the majestic Mount Manaslu (8,163m) dominates the skyline. The impressive Ribung Gompa is a must-see here.
- Manaslu - Day 6: Trek to Samagaon (3,530m)
The trail to Samagaon is abundant with cultural and natural beauty. Chortens, mani stones, and alpine fields are encountered along the way. Upon reaching Samagaon, towering peaks and ancient monasteries surround the area. This is one of the most scenic settlements in the region — an ideal place to rest and explore.
- Manaslu - Day 7: Acclimatization Day at Samagaon – Hike to Pungyen Gompa (4,050m)
To acclimatize to the altitude, a rest day is taken with an optional hike to Pungyen Gompa. This secluded monastery offers spectacular views of Manaslu and the glaciers. The afternoon is spent returning to Samagaon to relax and absorb the village’s spiritual ambiance.
- Manaslu - Day 8: Trek to Samdo (3,860m)
The path follows the valley northwards, passing yak pastures and crossing wooden bridges. The landscape becomes more barren, and the air thinner. Samdo, a small village near the Tibetan border, is home to a fascinating blend of trade culture and mountain life.
- Manaslu - Day 9: Day Hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4,800m) and Return to Samdo
This is a significant day. An early start leads to a challenging yet rewarding hike to Manaslu Base Camp. The trail ascends above the tree line, offering stunning views of Manaslu, glaciers, and icefalls. After spending time at the base camp, the descent back to Samdo provides a well-deserved rest.
- Manaslu - Day 10: Trek to Dharamsala (4,460m)
Preparation for the pass crossing begins today. The trail to Dharamsala (also known as Larkya Phedi) is steep but scenic, with views of Larkya Glacier. The base camp is reached early, allowing for rest in preparation for the next day’s adventure.
- Manaslu - Day 11: Cross Larkya La Pass (5,160m) and Trek to Bimthang (3,590m)
The day starts before sunrise to cross the magnificent Larkya La Pass — the trek’s highest point. The pass offers breathtaking views of Himlung Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. After celebrating the summit, the descent leads to the alpine meadow of Bimthang, surrounded by snowy peaks.
- Manang - Day 12: Trek to Dharapani (1,960m)
The trail descends through rhododendron forests, rivers, and charming Gurung villages. As altitude decreases, the air warms and the scenery becomes more vibrant. Dharapani, a gateway to the Annapurna region, is reached, providing a moment to rest and reflect on the journey.
- Manang - Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu/Pokhara via Besisahar
The mountains are left behind as the drive continues through lush hills and villages back to Kathmandu or Pokhara. As the city is reached, memories of sacred mountains, remote valleys, and the serene spiritual moments of the Manaslu region are cherished.
