After crossing the river, we pass through Jomsom and Kagbeni en route to the Hindu temple, Muktinath. Muktinath, a Vishnu Temple, is the world’s highest temple at an altitude of 3,800 m. The air thins near Muktinath, offering breathtaking views. At the temple, one can bathe in the holy pond (Kunda), believed to cleanse negative karma. Experience liberation from sins and achieve salvation by bathing under all 108 very cold taps, where water flows directly from the Kali Gandaki River.
