They personalized the trip for us perfectly, very satisfied! - This was out first trip to Nepal and we felt extremely taken care of by Himalayan Smiles! Our guide was very knowledgable, helpful, and just a great person to hike with, as well as our Porter guide, they were both local and made the trip just that much better. When we sent in our first inquiry, KP was quick to work around our timeline and offer us many options to suit our needs, could not have asked for a better experience and we are already planning our return!

Excellent experience with Himalayan Smile Treks - This was amazing adventure with Himalayan Smile Treks and Pramod as my guide and friend. We spent together almost 3 weeks trekking though picturesque mountains. The plan was to take a plane from KTM to Lukla but weather conditions were adverse, so after spending couple of hours waiting for the plane at the airport, KP immediately arranged a secondary transport to get there - by car (4x4). Next two days I spent in a car going though dirt roads, traversing creeks and mountains. I'll never forget views and the company of local people we were travelling with. On second day we started trek from Karikhola. I appreciated spending time in small tea houses run by families and experiencing life of Sherpas. Pramod as a guide and Omar-our porter - became my friends during that time. They were talking about local customs, living of Sherpas and living in Nepal in general. Spending that time with those people was a great experience. We got to the EBC and then went though Chola Pass in snow conditions but I felt with them always safe and confident. After arriving to Kathmandu I had 2 days left till my planned flight back, so I asked KP to arrange some sightseeing tour around the city. No problem at all. Next day I was meeting local guide Prakesh who showed me most important places around Kathmandu. In the evening KP invited me together with some other clients to a nice local restaurant with delicious Dal Bhat, music and dance... One more person I have to mention is Ryan who was greeting me at the airport, assisting when I arrived to Kathmandu from the mountains and giving a white farewell scarf when I was living. I wanted to stay in Nepal with local company, supporting local business instead of some international companies that operate around the world offering treks here and there. And I must say I wasn't disappointed. Everything was arranged perfectly matching highest standards for travel agency. I already plan to come back and spend time with Pramod around Annapurna and Pokhara :-)
