EBC Trek May 2025 - I recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Icicles Adventure, and from beginning to end it was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had.
Immediately, our group and I felt very much at ease upon arrival from the airport, being greeted by a member of the team and taken to the very comfortable Ramada Hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu. Hotel location is great if you need to grab some final pieces of kit before your trip, with plenty of food and drink places. The rooftop, with pool and restaurant is lovely too!
Trip started with a bumpy ride to Ramechhap Airport and then one of the first flights in the morning to Lukla Airport. Very grateful to the tireless work of Icicles Adventure to ensure that we got our group onto a plane - both ways. We then met our lead guide Ram, and assistant guides Dikesh and Sudip in Lukla, who as a team were fantastic. Clear instruction, answered any questions and overall made the trip run incredibly smoothly. A special thanks to Dikesh for waking up early one morning to take a couple of up to Kalapatthar!!
If you’re thinking of booking the trip, just do it, you won’t regret it! I feel very lucky to have completed the trek, with such a great group and an equally great support team. Thanks again Icicles Adventure!!

Fantastic experience, beautiful views and amazing team. Highly recommend! - EBC was incredible experience trekking through the mountains with a fantastic guide, porter and team which helped immensely, including a lovely hotel to relax and celebrate in after! Would highly recommend Icicles to anyone wanting to do a trek in Nepal, especially EBC!

Fantastic …. Just do it !! - This is a hike I will cherish for the rest of my life. Although, not easy it’s life changing. The views on the journey up and down are spectacular.
The hike was made particularly memorable by the amazing guides. Ram is very experienced and excellent in his role and the assistant guide Dikesh is a truly remarkable guide and human being… his attention to detail was second to none. The care and attention provided by the guides and the fantastic hike to EBC means Nepal will be forever etched in my memory. Namaste ❤️

A once in a lifetime experience - What an amazing few weeks. A fantastic group, even better weather AND, best of all, Prakash, Raj and Prim, our guides for the trek, we're simply exceptional. Their skill and knowledge of the mountains helped the group get through the challenge and, whenever any of us had a bit of a moment, one of them was always at hand to provide support. Overnighting at Base Camp was definitely the right decision and was an unforgettable experience. The organisation was also excellent and we really couldn't have asked for me. I would happily recommend Icicles/The Adventure People to anyone considering a trek in Nepal.

EBC Overnight trek - With a cake at the top! - Just completed the EBC overnight stay trek. I have to comment and thank Prakash, Rez and Pren, our guides, on a safe and pleasurable trip. All 3 had a good sense of humour and understood any concerns which were put their way. Everything was handled with respect and common sense. We were treated to spectacular scenic views and their local knowledge was second to none. Most importantly, all of our group made it there and back, and it was quite a mix of ages. The strategy behind the acclimatisation days at different stages was perfect. My advice - make sure you put a bit of effort into your fitness before attending. It will make the trip much easier and more pleasurable for all.

Most memorable trek. - The experience from being picked up from the airport to the end by icicles was fantastic.
We had a full briefing before a very early start the following day. When we arrived in Lukla we met our guide Ram and assistants Dikesh and Sudip. They looked after us amazingly, especially when members of our team were feeling unwell. They did everything could to make our experience magical, although tough.
We had an amazing group of 13 trekkers from all over the uk and Australia. I couldn’t think of a better team to have completed this trip with. Thank you Icicles. I would definitely recommend this trip

Best trip ever! - A trip of a lifetime! From start to finish the people at Icicles looked after us amazingly! Our guide Ram and assistant guides Dikesh and Sudip made the trip even more special, they were constantly looking after us and their knowledge about the mountains and culture was great. They all went above and beyond from start to finish making the whole experience even better. Would definitely book with the team again!

Would 100% recommend this trip with Icicles Adventure! - My friends, family and I had an amazing time with The Adventure People (Icicles), I couldn’t recommend them enough. From the beginning the communication was outstanding, and the pre-trip information document included everything we needed to know.
Our Main guide Ram and assistant guides Dikesh and Sudip were all amazing. They were very well informed and we all felt very safe with them throughout the trip.
The whole trip was very well organised and everything ran smoothly for us.
The trip was very reasonably priced and there weren’t many extra costs - I spent around £150 on things like drinks, wifi and souvenirs across the 2 weeks. They were clear with how much spending money you should take with you.
I’m not sure that spending more money on some of the more famous trekking companies would mean a better experience. A lot of the accomodation was very basic but this was expected.
I also love that the company was founded by Indira - one of the few female founded trekking companies out there!
I would 100% use the company again!

EBC and Gokyo lakes hike and trek 18 days - What and amazing and perfect adventure to Everest basecamp and Gokyo lakes 18 day adventure.. we have done many trips worldwide hiking Kilimanjaro and machu piccu, however this trip was on a different level our guide Lal and our porter who we affectionately named uncle were amazing .. so thoughtful and caring.. the knowledge of the trek and the routes was out of this world .. the best trek I have ever done and faultless organisation from start to finish.. I wil give a massive congratulations to the owners of icicles indira and Ram for they way organise and look after you on this trip and gave us an amazing surprise farewell meal and beautifully present certificates of completion.. if you want a well organised safe trip book with icicles you will not be disappointed .. once and thank you to the amazing guide Lal and “uncle” our porter ..

Incredible experience - We just completed this Trek and it was such an incredible experience. It was an amazing trip to take with myself and my 3 young adult children
We got lucky with a lovely, fun bunch of people from the UK, USA and Australia. Santosh, Danesh, Dharma and Diwalker were our Guides and went out of their way to give us the best experience. Their experience, knowledge and sense of fun helped us all reach our goal. It was tough at times, but so rewarding and a trip I will never forget!! Thank you to the whole team from Icicles.
