Chitwan District - At 7:00 am, guests will depart from the tourist bus stop at Nayabazar, Kathmandu, in a luxurious tourist bus. Chitwan Tharu Village - At 2:30 pm, guests will be taken to visit Tharu Village in Sauraha. This small town, located near the National Park, is rich in traditional Tharu lifestyle and culture, making it a popular tourist destination. The Tharu community is the predominant population here, with a deep connection to the surrounding forests and nature. They possess extensive knowledge of nature and have developed sustainable farming methods to live harmoniously with the environment.
Chitwan District - Guests will then visit the Chitwan Museum to learn more about the wildlife of Chitwan National Park, Tharu traditions, and the region’s surroundings.
Rapti Zone - Visitors will witness the stunning sunset from the banks of the Rapti River, a breathtaking sight during this trip. The sky transforms into beautiful hues of orange, pink, purple, and red as the sun sets, reflecting on the Rapti River’s waters and enhancing the sunset’s beauty. As the sun lowers, the sky gradually darkens, and the shadows of trees and distant hills become more pronounced. The serene atmosphere is enriched by the melodic chirping of birds and the occasional splash of a fish jumping out of the water. This experience is followed by a delicious traditional Nepali dinner at a nearby riverside restaurant.
Canoeing along the Rapti River and Jeep Safari Ride
Rapti Zone - Guests will be picked up from the hotel at 7:00 am after breakfast for a canoeing trip along the Rapti River. They will canoe in a small wooden boat guided by an experienced local who will share fascinating insights about the park’s ecosystem and wildlife, along with safety instructions. During the canoeing adventure, guests will see the park’s lush greenery and may encounter various bird species perched on the riverbanks, as well as two rare crocodile species - the Marsh Mugger and Gharial - gracefully gliding through the tranquil river. After canoeing, guests will walk along the riverbank to explore more local flora and fauna with an experienced naturalist.
Chitwan National Park - Chitwan National Park is a paradise for nature lovers and enthusiasts. Guests will embark on a Jungle Jeep Safari Ride, an excellent way to explore the National Park and a great opportunity to see wildlife such as deer, one-horned rhinoceros, leopards, sloth bears, and the royal Bengal Tiger in their natural habitat. The local guide will provide all safety precautions for the Jeep Safari ride and explain what to expect during the safari.
