14 day base camp trek - I had the best time on my 14-day Everest Base Camp trek. The entire experience was unforgettable—the food was great, the culture was rich and vibrant, and the views of the mountains were absolutely breathtaking. Every day offered something beautiful to see.
Our guide/sherpa Ang Jeeva Sherpa (AJ) and porter Raj Kumar Rai were amazing. They were knowledgeable, supportive, and made the journey feel safe and enjoyable from start to finish.
A huge thanks to Magical Nepal, who helped with everything throughout the trip. Their organization and care made the trek smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend them to anyone planning to trek in Nepal!

I climbed the mountain, then I turned around… - Majestic! How else can one describe the top of the world? Up, up, up. Each level a different topography. Forest, to high desert to vast wasteland, to exulted snowy peaks.
As you climb, one has to breathe consciously and deliberately, which, though disconcerting at first, induced after a time, an almost ecstatic tranquility of mind. The whole body moved in a single rhythm of breathing, walking and thinking. The lungs, no longer discrete and automatic, were disciplined to harmony with mind and limb. Day after day a new adventure…
Then, there it is…Everest. The quest accomplished. A bottle of champagne popped. Welcome to the top of the World!
Of course, as you focus on achieving your goal. The last thing you want to think about are the semantics. This is where Magical Nepal was so consequential in my quest. Every moment carefully constructed for me. Every need meticulously taken care of by Magical Nepal. I booked 6 months in advance and Saugat kept in constant contact with me to make sure my trip was everything I had hoped and dreamed.
Saugat’s grace and aplomb shown through. He met me at my hotel before the trek started. He carefully went over every detail with me. He put my mind at ease. Whereas I could focus on the ascent. Not worried about the semantics. Frankly, the peace of mind Saugat and Magical Nepal gave me was priceless!
We do these types of exploits once in a lifetime. You want to trust these touchstones to those who truly care about your experience. Saugat and Magical Nepal are the ones you want to trust with your adventure!

A really magical trip we will never forget - What an experience! Although my boyfriend and I love hiking, we had never done a more-than-one-day trek before. Thus, doing EBC trek was supposed to be a new challenge and it was very important for us to find a provider with whom we feel safe and who would make this trip a memorable one. Thanks to a personal recommendation we found „Magical Nepal“! From the first contact on we felt their strong customer orientation. Every of our (many) questions has been answered very quickly and we got all the information that were important for us. The booking process was easy and very comfortable. But of course much more important was the amazing organisation of the trip itself! Absolutely every single detail, be it the pick-up at the airport, the booking of the accomodations or the meal plannings went so smoothly while staying flexible for extra wishes or jointly agreed deviations from the original plan. For example, on day 2 we found a wonderful accomodation, so our guide spontaneously managed that we could spend a night there on our way back down. Our guide „KP“ was really the best anyway! He was the one who made this trip even more special. He was so caring, always made us feel as comfortable as possible and we had so much fun together! He managed so many things „in the background“ (like the mentioned change in the accomodation planning after we found that beautiful hotel on day 2) that we really had to care about absolutely nothing else than just enjoying this incredible experience. Big thanks to „Magical Nepal“, especially to Saudat (who has managed everything in advance and helped us with all of our questions) and to KP, the best guide ever!

An Unforgettable EBC Trek with an Exceptional Team from Magical Nepa - Our Everest Base Camp trek was an experience my girlfriend Lydia and I will never forget – thanks to Magical Nepal and an absolutely outstanding team.
Our guide KP was exceptional. He took care of us in every possible way, answered all of our questions, anticipated our needs, and made sure we felt safe and comfortable at every step of the journey. His calm, experience, and kindness turned this challenging trek into something truly enjoyable.
A huge thank you also to our porter Milan. He carried our luggage as if it weighed nothing and was always there when we needed a hand. Always friendly, always reliable – a truly wonderful person to have with you in the mountains.
Saudat, the head of Magical Nepal, was available at any time before and during the trek. No matter what questions we had, he responded immediately and helped us with everything. That level of support makes you feel genuinely taken care of.
All in all, this trip was unforgettable not only because of the Himalayas, but especially because of the amazing people who made it so special for us.

Once in a lifetime experience! - I first want to thank individually Kubir (porter) Sagar (guide) and Saugat (organizer) for a very well planned hassle free EBC trek with Magical Nepal. Everything went smoothly from pickup to drop off.
Every hiker should have this in their bucket list of hikes.
Upon arrival at Kathmandu. I was transported to Kathmandu Business Hotel and met with Saugat, a well mannered soft spoken man with a peaceful energy to go over the details of the hike and connected me with Sagar. An unexpected well planned Heli ride to Lukla saved hours drive to Ramechhap Airport! Once arrived in Lukla I was greeted by Sagar and Kubir (son and dad team). Sagar a well mannered young man just finishing high school, just starting life, and young enough to be my son. Kubir a peaceful well mannered soul. From my observation Sagar seems very connected with in the systems from airport personnel to tea house’s situated on the trail, this is very important when having a guide. It provided prompt service and attention. I notice my meals came faster than some that were sitting waiting for theirs.
There were sections in the trail with steep ascend at higher elevation, very tough for someone who came from sea level to tackle. Sagar grab my day bag and provided inspiration to make it through those tough sections. This behavior a kindred heart. I could go on and on but pictures may say more than words. 5 stars to Magical Nepal and their entire team for a memorable once in a life time EBC Trek!!!

Trip of a lifetime - I have recently returned from a truly amazing trek to EBC. It had been a dream of mines for many years and it didn't disappoint. Nepal is truly magical.
My trip ran smoothly with no issues. Saugat's communication was excellent. From the first WhatsApp message enquiring about the trek until my last day in Nepal. He always responded quickly with any questions or concerns.
I had the pleasure of having father and son as my guide and porter for my trip. It was Saga's (son) first time at guiding and he did a brilliant job. Im sure he is going to be a popular and excellent guide. His father Lakkubr, has been a porter for over 20 years and l would trust treking anywhere in the region with him. Between the both of them I was well taken care of and felt very safe with them. They both shared their knowledge of the mountains, culture and nature in the Himalayas and Nepali life.
On the last day of the trek on our way back to Luka, Saga and Lakkubr took me to their family home and Saga's mum cooked me the best food I had eaten in Nepal. It was a very special end to a very memorable trip.
I can't wait to go back to Nepal and will use Magical Nepal to arrange my next trek. I thoroughly recommend them
I miss Nepal and can't wait to go back.

Amazing trekking - The trek organized by Magical Nepal was an incredible experience and attention to detail.
The online booking was simple and in any case with the constant support of the agency: we received all the necessary information both to book and to prepare the trek, until just before departure, always feeling followed and prepared.
The agency has always been available to follow us at all times, both before the trip and during the trek itself, for example during the transfer from Kathmandu to Lukla, when the weather conditions caused some unforeseen events, the agency managed everything with great professionalism, finding quick solutions and keeping us informed.
The trek to Everest Base Camp was extraordinary: breathtaking scenery, impeccable organization and an experience to take inside forever. Our guide during the trek, although young, was always available and attentive, while our bearer proved to be punctual, kind and tireless.
In summary, Magical Nepal has made this trip an authentic and unforgettable experience. I recommend it without hesitation to those who dream of discovering Nepal in all its beauty.

“It’s not the altitude, it’s the attitude” - Hello everyone, wanted to share my opinion about the 10 day track to Everest base camp and give a huge shoutout to Magical Nepal for the organisation of this trip.
They have demonstrated a great flexibility and availability especially for organising all the flights given the ever changing weather conditions.
Sagat’s mastery and flexibility which can only be compared to Fantastic Four’s mr. Fantastic, is undeniable. Always there for us both physically and online (but also spirally… he is was always looking over our shoulders… not in a creepy way tho). Thanks to him all plans were smoothened out in no time, time schedules were respected regardless of the ever-changing meteorological conditions and he was always available and providing support in timely manner.
Another huge shoutout is going to the one and only, the unstoppable, the bull fighter, the Nepalese Messi, the military graded, the push up guru, the mountain whisperer, the spiritual tour guide, the viral influencer, the legend himself, Sajan Gremba.
Our trusted guide during this track around the Himalayas. The trip wouldn’t be the same without his cheerful and friendly attitude during the whole time. Fresher than the Prince of Bel-air, cooler than Brat Pit in Troy, fast and agile as mountain goat on steroids.
Now let’s say couple of short words regarding the whole experience… pinky swear, I’ll keep it short.
The trip itself is a great chance for people to experience the everchanging landscape of Nepal, starting from the melting cultural pot of Kathmandu, one of the craziest cities I ever visited. Embodied with culture, history, mix of colonial and Hindu architecture and traffic gems you’ve seen only ok Bollywood movies from the 60s, minus the funky rhythms and flash mob dancing on the street. A place that has certain areas which feel like capsule of time, throwing you decades back to simpler times.
Once you have handful of that eclectic brain stimulation you have 2 options to continue your trip, either grab plane to Lukla, aka a 20 seater flying trash-bin, which might or might not decompose mid-flight (bonus point is that you also should go on a 6 and a half hours buss ride starting at 1 am to Ramecchap) which is like eventually push a jeep out of the mud to get to the airport on time) or take a heli (TAKE THE HELI!) and feel like Rambo being helicoptered out of a Khe Sanh, Vietnam (TAKE THE HELI!)? while shot by Vietcong guerrilla partisans, regardless of the fact you are still basically a posh-backpacker with a 360 camera and almost constant connection to satellite internet so you can immediately update those same videos to your social media so your grandma can put a like on them… you know same same but different, but still the same (TAKE THE DAMN HELI and thank me later!)
Landing in Lukla’s Tenzing-Hillary Airport you already feel the cool mountain breeze and you are engulfed by endless green hills and seeing snowy peaks in the distances make sure to take a video of the landing cause that airport besides having the name of 2 great alpines and explorers has couple of insanely cool nicknames as well, “the gateway to Mount Everest” (I mean, come on, that’s just epic nickname) and “one of the world's most dangerous airports”, due to its short and sloped runway, mountainous terrain and high altitude (2860 meters). Have you ever seen Netflixs’ TV show Narcos? Think about that but with less drugs (unfortunately) and more mountains (luckily).
Well boys and girls reading, this is where your journey through the Himalayas begins. A journey that will shape you, endure you, help you see amazing and ever changing scenarios, give you the opportunity to reach a spiritual epiphany, help you restart that search for higher being and potentially give you an insane altitude sickness, mild diarrhea, doubtful hygiene choices and crazy sunburn.
What?! You thought it’s going to be only fun, jokes, unicorns, positive vibes and kumbaia out there?! Come on boys and girls, grow up, life is harsh… sometimes… most of the time… always… we are all doomed….
Anyways on a positive note, let’s continue our review.
Starting from Lukla you’ll do a short trip to Phakding -2650m (you pronounce that as you would pronounce a slur towards your immediate superior at work mr. Ding, phak that guy, right?! 🤷♂️)
After a short night in a cosy mountain chalet your journey will start early in the morning heading to the one and only, the mythical, the legendary Namche Bazaar - 3440m (what a damn funky name that is). Once you arrive in that absolute gem of a small little mountain village tugged into the emerald peaks, you’ll have the chance to explore around and even play some basketball with the locals with a pitch that has a better view than a front set of a Lakers game.
For the lighthearted it’s a great place to start your baby steps into acclimatisation as next day you’ll check out Everest view hotel and if you are lucky enough with the weather you’ll see your first epic view to one of the best snowy peaks including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kusum Kangaru. If you aren’t lucky on the other hand, you’ll mostly see, mist, clouds, haze, fog and murk. It’s a 50/50 chance kids.
Then back to Namche bazaar.
After those 2 days, and armed with the might of Atlas, ready to move the world on your shoulders, you’ll head to Tengboche (3956m).
Make sure to check out the temple once you arrive. If you are lucky enough you’ll be able to catch a ceremony or ritual and lose yourself in the mesmerizing sound of the monks mantras singing. Who knows, this transcendental experience might help you realise where did you lose yourself tamagotchi in 3rd grade. It didn’t help me in that task, but I guess I wasn’t persistent enough in my meditative state and didn’t dig deep enough into my subconscious.
The next day is the trip to Dingboche (4380m) What a lovely small village. Make sure to visit 4410 caffe while there… what a gem of a place. Great bakery in the middle of nowhere and you can educate yourself while watching some funky movies about Everest, or if you are lucky enough they might have downloaded home alone 2 (I wasn’t lucky enough unfortunately… that that movie is epic).
Dingboche is another place carefully considered by Magical Nepal for acclimatisation, boys and girls. It almost slips out of your mind that this article is actually review for their agency given the fact I mentioned there name like 7 hours ago in what seems to be the longest review you have ever read (but brownie points for still being here).
That day you’ll have the chance to experience your first 5k in the Himalayas, heading to Nangkartshang Peak - 5083m, 5084m if you sit in the shoulders of your guide.
The next day we head to Lobuche through and slightly tougher terrain where trees are slowly starting to disappear and we are surrounded by an absolute fairytale e peaceful, endless and untouched snowy peaks. It’s feels like Pablo Escobars wet dream… but with snow instead of cocaine, you know.
The tension is building as well as the expectations because next day we are heading to Gorakshep, the last frontier of civilisation before the start of the Everest base camps and the summit to greatness.
The track to Gorakshep is absolutely gorgeous, Swan Lake kinda vibes… without the swans and the lake… forget about it it has nothing to do with Swan Lake (I just wanted to say something related to the immortal genius of Tchaikovsky cause I was listening to that on the background while I was hiking… fancy, I know 🤷♂️).
Finally, after 3 hours of amazing hike with epic weather, we arrived in Gorakshep and we were presented with 2 options for the remaining part of the day.
Let’s call it Option 1 aka “you should definitely do that option” and option 2 aka “be like the rest of the plebs”.
To go in detail, option 1 consists of hiking the one and only Kala Patthar (5650m) in the afternoon instead of the conventional morning hike. The benefit of that is less people, nicer hike and epic sunset view of mount Everest, aka Chomolungma, aka Sagarmatha, tugged between Lhotse, Nupse and Pomori. In that case you’ll do Everest base camp on the next morning.
Then you have option 2 which consist of doing EBC in the afternoon as soon as you arrive to Gorakshep and doing Kala Patthar on the next morning, while waking up and 3 am so you can catch up the sunrise… I mean I let you decide but we boys and girls, let’s admit it, we all know what’s the better solution here 🤷♂️
A special mentioning to that hike to Kala Patthar, this is where all your efforts, sweat, tears, pulled off skin, destroyed faces and smelly bodies will reach a complete climax.
An absolute emotional ejaculation. A unicorn copulating with a supernova.
Put Hans Zimmer’s God Yu Tekem Laef Blong Mi on the background to understand better the epiphany of this insanely beautiful moment while resting your bones on the rocky and snowy cliff of Kala Patthar while contemplating (and barely breathing from the hike you just finished) with a gaze toward the majestic view in front of view.
If you are lucky with the weather that day, this will be a memory which will remain with you forever.
Lastly after the track to EBC on the next day, seeing where the last frontier of so many courageous alpinists started their summit to Everest you remain humbled of the fact that this is where your journey ends, however the idea of coming back and attempting to climb even more next time starts lurking in your mind… because those treks and experiences are indeed as addictive as a crack cocaine (god damn I miss it) and you’d always want more and more of it.
So this story comes to an open end as an episode of Thunder In Paradise (if you have never heard about this absolutely epic show you are a complete peasant)
To be continued….
P.S. Useless to say you need to take the helicopter back if you don’t want to receive an honorary medal from the Institute of people legally merrier to their left hand and live in your mother’s basement untill you turn 54. TAKE THE HELI BACK! (Thank me later)

Magical Nepalese adventure with achieved goals! - De did with 2 the EBC including the two passes (Chola and Rensola) trek. It was an amazing experience and the tour was tailor made on our needs. We could suggest changes according to our requirements and abilities. Opening the trail towards the Kala Patthar viewpoint after unusual heavy snowfall was the highlight.
Our tour guide @Pramod was an exceptional knowledgable person, both in the area(mountains), cultural, socio-political and just a world man. He always knew something about somewhere 🙂 We joked a lot but also worked a lot! Very attentive and social.
Special thanks also to @Sogrod who is running the business Magical Nepal very professionally and took his time before and after the trek to meet up with us and make sure everything was properly arranged!
I wish both gentlemen the best in life and growing business.
That many adventurous may reach the summits of the Himalayas with Magical Nepal!
Greetings,
Stijn

The Travel Guides & Planners you need! We shall meet again next year. - From research, to planning, to execution, Sagat & the Magical Nepal team did a great job at addressing questions and building a customized solution that ticked all the boxes.
We did the EBC trek with heli return, 9 days total. Excellent planning and flexibility in adjusting plans based on unexpected changes (eg bad weather in Lukla, limiting flights for days etc), and extremely professional service both before, during and after the trip.
When it comes to treks/trips in remote parts of the world like the high altitude Everest region, the reliability and professionalism of Magical Nepal is exactly what you need. Look for Sajan as your guide - young, energetic, fun and dependable guide that will make your trek safe, fun and exciting. Hope to climb a 6K+ with him in the coming years. Maybe Ama Dablam!
Thank you guys for making our trip memorable. I will never forget the feeling of getting to the top of Kala Patthar, in waist deep snow, with a stunning blue sky, and Everest & Nuptse in the background. Priceless!
We will meet again.
Best,
John D.
