Small group tour - highly recommended! - If you're short on time, and prefer someone else drives - this is the tour for you. Our indigenous guide Reuben was a wealth of local and aboriginal knowledge. Don't be put off by the 6am start. I've never regretted waking up early in time to see the sunrise. My 70+ mum is an early riser, so this suited her well. Myself and daughter slept a while longer in the back of the van (after watching the sunrise). A couple of bathroom and coffee stops break up the journey. At Nitmiluk, you do the 2hr two gorge boat trip. This is a relaxing way to take in the spectacular views and sandstone cliffs. AH-mazing! After gorge one, it's a short walk to the next jetty - to get another boat through gorge two. On the way you can just make out some rock art. A bonus, but not the main event. Spotted a few freshwater crocodiles. Lunch is included afterwards at the cafe. Average, but good enough, food. Then a 1km incline walk up to the lookout. This requires an average fitness level, and best done "slow and steady". It's worth it. And last but definitely not least, a much needed dip at the hot springs. Imo neither hot nor warm, but they were clean - with a good current at the very beginning - which my daughter greatly enjoyed. The sun is setting as you get back into Darwin City. A long but worthwhile excursion. Value for money, considering all the inclusions and an experienced private guide. Photos don't really do this tour justice. Nike said it best, "Just do it".

A great combination of activities with an amazing guide ! - Our guide for the day Rasa was professional, kind, knowledgeable, fun and catered for our needs. The boat trip was on a small environmentally friendly boat allowing everyone a good view of crocodiles in their natural habitat. The fishing walk was really fun allowing us to learn about aboriginal culture while exploring the beach and mangroves. I would highly recommend Sacred Owl tours and would book another tour with them if we get to this part of the world again!!!

Amazing tour! - We had a wonderful experience with Sacred Owl Tours! Rasa was friendly, knowledgeable, and a great guide overall. We loved spearing mud crabs, gathering periwinkles, and seeing crocodiles! The aboriginal digeridoo was a special treat. Thanks Rasa!

The best day with the best guide. - The best day!! Rasa is a warm, knowledgeable and open person who obviously loves what she does. She joined us on the morning tour of the Daintree Rainforest tour - adding additional bits of information for us to the guide. She had her eye out for our safety and what we might enjoy. At the swimming area, Rasa had special food for us to throw to the fish. The lunch was preordered and delicious (even made accommodations for a gluten free eater!). But the true highlight was Aboriginal Fishing and Beach Day. After practicing with the tool to spear mud crabs, we walked out on a great expanse of beach. The guides and Rasa shared lots of insights to find crabs and showed lots of shells, etc. The glorious walk ended with several crabs and periwinkles cooked for sharing. I never felt rushed or that my millions of questions were silly. I wanted to gain more insights into Aboriginal peoples - their history and traditions. The whole day did that. I definitely recommend this tour.
