The shrine is renowned for its main hall, which was moved from the Kyoto Imperial Palace. The expansive grounds feature not only the shrine buildings but also enchanting forests and ponds, believed to bestow good fortune, health, and longevity.
- Imaichono Machinami - Originating as a medieval temple town in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, Imaicho flourished as a commercial hub during the Edo period, famously contributing “seven-tenths of Yamato’s gold.” It is now recognized as an “Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings,” with its historical townscape preserved over an area approximately 600 meters east to west and 310 meters north to south. The area boasts around 500 traditional buildings and numerous cultural assets, including nine nationally designated Important Cultural Properties, and is celebrated as a “Japan Heritage Site” for its Edo period charm.
