Situated in the Central Bohemian region near Prague, this remarkable Gothic castle was established in 1348 to safeguard the imperial crown jewels. Visitors can explore the medieval residential quarters of Emperor Charles IV. Upon arrival, various interior tours are available, and guests can stroll around the courtyards and walls. It is highly recommended to visit the exquisite “Golden” Chapel of the Holy Cross (tickets must be booked in advance; open from May 1st to October 31st).
After descending from the castle, visitors can enjoy the delightful village, which is home to galleries and shops. Nature enthusiasts may opt for a short walk to the nearby picturesque stone quarry known as “America.”
This excursion can be paired with a visit to the Bohemian glassworks, the Pilsner beer brewery, or Konopiště Chateau. Prices and duration will be adjusted for combined tours.

Amazing Experience with Expert Guide, Honza! - Honza was an amazing tour guide. The tour itself was super accommodating. We got to see the castle and even make a stop at Pilsner brewery! Honza was super knowledgeable, he had a wealth of information and the tour felt extremely personal. We would 100% book again!

Great day! - Honza was an amazing tour guide!! He suggested adding a stop for a tour at one of pragues most famous glass factories which we LOVED!! The whole day was great!

Wonderful, Informative, Day visit! - Our group of 4, 2 couples, took a half day trip with Honza and couldn't have had a better time. Honza was prompt, intelligent, engaging, patient, well versed in Czech history, and a super Host. His background in Humanitarian work and skills with English kept conversation going for hours. The trip in his new VW van was scenic and easy from Prague and we loved the village and Castle. Highly recommended trip to get outside Prague and see some beautiful Historic sights. Go!

A Great Tour with Michael - We originally arranged for two short, guided tours with Jana. Jana assigned us Michael Stanislav. Our flight to Prague was delayed and we ended up having one full day touring the wonderful city of Prague with Michael. Michael was knowledgeable, professional and the tour was excellent. I highly recommend Jana and Prague Personal Guide.
