Begin your trek at the traditional market and village of Sidemen, then ascend to the rice paddy fields, which have no defined steps. Head towards Mount Agung, following the irrigation path of the water source, and cross the hanging wooden bridge, suitable for both motorbikes and pedestrians.
As you trek, pass through the village and temple where local villagers come to pray. The journey involves ascending and descending streets, then walking through rice fields along the irrigation channels. Observe the locals working in their fields, engaging in activities such as plowing, cultivating, planting seeds, and harvesting.

Amazing! - We really loved this tour around Sidemen! The tourguide was very friendly and welcoming. The walk itself was very fun and the views were amazing! We would absolutely recommend this tour!

Rice field hike. - Excellent hike along the rice terraces with the best guide ever. We got the most amazing views together with the great stories about how all this is created over the years. We were really impressed by the guide and he’s knowledge about history and the farming life of the area. Thanks a million

Instructive walking tour through the rice fields - Interesting walk through the.rjjst fields where you get a lot of information about the different stages of rice cultivation and the local techniques. The walk is partly over narrow ledges. So it is important that you are good and stable on your feet. Furthermore, plenty of space to ask questions and take photos.

Highly recommend, amazing route, super informative! - Highly recommend doing this tour, you get to experience walking around the rice paddy fields along the irrigation channels, a route you would not find on your own. Beautiful views of Mt Agung and of the rice paddy terraces all the way along. Darya was very friendly and informative talking us through Balinese’s life, religion and culture. I recommend good shoes as it’s a good walk. A must do if visiting Sidemen!

Beautiful Sidemen villages and countryside - This was a very special tour for me. Wayan was a very goid guide. He shared with me the culture and life of the people of Sidemen. He was considerate and easy to talk to. The walk through his village was amazingly beautiful. Thank you Wayan.

Must-Do in Sidemen - The walk took about 2 hours and it was soo great. You have beautiful views over the ricefields and so many nice spots to take pictures. We also learnt a lot about couture and Bali in general. I would absolutely recommend it.

Great adventure! - Very nice trekking! A real adventure found our 3 children (ages 9, 6 and 4), on narrow paths along the water and on dams right through the rice fields and plantations. Beautiful views and great nature!

Excellent trek in ricefields in Sidemen - A wonderful experience off the beaten track in the heart of the rice fields with Mount Agung as a backdrop. All with the explanations of Adi, the guide who comes from a nearby village, who explains the whole rice process and shows us the activities of the inhabitants of his village. I highly recommend it. Authentic atmosphere, without tourists and enriching (we literally walk with the rice workers).

Wonderful trek, Beautiful scenery! - This was a wonderful trek through some of the most beautiful scenery in Bali. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to be taken round on a private tour with DARYA, who is a local to the area! He was so knowledgeable and was able to tell us all about Sidemen as he took us round the small farming villages and through the rice fields. I’m so glad we decided to do this as you’re far away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist centres and it feels like you’re experiencing the REAL Bali!
