Chaukhandi Tombs - The Tour Manager will collect guests from their hotel in Karachi, departing at 0800hrs. The Chaukhandi tombs, dating back to the Mughal era, primarily belong to the Jokhio Tribe and warriors of the Saloch families, Sindhi tribes, from the 15th to the 18th century. This Islamic graveyard contains approximately 1,500 tombs, with about 500-600 still intact. Although many are damaged, the remaining structures are a remarkable sight and a must-visit when in Karachi. The Chaukhandi tombs are on the Tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage sites and are open to the public. Visitors can explore the tombs and admire the intricately decorated yellow sandstone slabs stacked to form small pyramids. Male and female tombs are distinguishable by carvings; male tombs feature horsemen, arms, swords, bows, and arrows, while female tombs display jewelry and necklaces.

Bhambore - Explore the Bhambore Ruins and Bhambore Museum, with entrance included. The ruins of Bhambore are renowned for their connection to romance and mystery. For those who appreciate ancient ruins and hidden gems, Bhambore is a must-see. This abandoned city, located 65 km east of Karachi, was once the capital of Bhambo Raja in the 10th century and a significant crossroads on the ancient trade route to China and the Middle East. Sadly, it was destroyed around 1250 CE and is now remembered through the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. History and folklore enthusiasts should visit Sassui’s grave at ‘Sassui waro chodo,’ just 14 miles from Karachi on the road to Kech Makran.
The Bhambore ruins and museum are situated in Karachi district, Sindh, Pakistan. The city was established by the Sumerians in the late 4th millennium BC and was later governed by the Achaemenid Empire, Alexander’s successors, and the Parthian Empire.
- Makli Necropolis - Near the delta of the Indus River in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province lies a vast cemetery with half a million tombs and graves spread over an area of about 10 km2. Located at the edge of the 6.5 km-long Makli Hill plateau, the Makli necropolis, associated with the nearby city of Thatta, a former capital and center of Islamic culture, is a remarkable testament to the Sindh civilization from the 14th to the 18th centuries.
The Makli necropolis is one of the largest in the world, with kings, queens, governors, saints, scholars, and philosophers buried in brick or stone monuments, some adorned with glazed tiles.
- Shah Jahan Mosque - Jamia Masjid Shah Jahan Thatta is a Marvel of Mughal Architectural Fusion in Sindh
Shah Jahan Mosque, also known as the Jamia Masjid of Thatta, serves as a mosque in the heart of Thatta city, in Sindh, Pakistan. The mosque is celebrated as one of the finest examples of tilework in South Asia and is noted for its geometric brickwork, a rare decorative feature in Mughal period mosques.
Jamia Masjid Shah Jahan Thatta was constructed during the reign of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who gifted the city as a token of gratitude and was heavily influenced by Central Asian architecture, reflecting Shah Jahan’s campaigns near Samarkand just before the mosque’s design.
The mosque is located east of Thatta, which was the capital of Sindh in the 16th and 17th centuries before the capital moved to nearby Hyderabad. It is situated near Makli Necropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, approximately 100 km from Karachi.
