Sipi Falls - Start your day early with a cup of coffee or tea and be ready for pick-up from your hotel in Kampala by 6:00 am. This early departure helps you avoid the heavy morning traffic in Kampala. You’ll travel east on the Kampala-Jinja highway, passing through Iganga and Mbale, heading towards Sipi—a journey that takes about 6 hours. Upon arrival, after a brief rest, a local guide will lead you on a hike. You’ll start at the top-most waterfall and descend to the bottom, which is the main Sipi Waterfall. The waterfalls are 85 m, 75 m, and 100 m tall, respectively.

The entire hike will take around 4 hours or less, depending on the fitness level of the hikers. Since most of the hike is downhill, even first-time hikers can complete it within 4 hours. If you find the hike too tiring, you can opt to skip one of the waterfalls. The trails to the waterfalls pass through Arabica coffee plantations. After the hike, you’ll transfer to an accommodation with a view of the main waterfalls for lunch. Then, you’ll start your return trip to Kampala, arriving in the late evening.
