• Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts - We learn about Kauffman Performing Arts Center while walking right next to it and seeing it up close.
• The Crossroads - We weave our way through alley ways filled with colorful murals in the Crossroads Art District.
• Kansas City Convention Center - We walk by and see the amazing “Sky Station” sculptures on top of Bartle Hall.

This evening’s 5-mile adventure begins with a breathtaking view at Liberty Memorial, followed by a descent past Union Station. The journey continues through the culturally rich Westside neighborhood. Participants will discover the historical significance of the West Bottoms and the Pendergast era, while also enjoying alleyways adorned with street art. A stunning sunset can be admired from a bridge in the Westside, offering a glowing view of the KC skyline. This hike is packed with Instagram-worthy spots and hidden gems of Kansas City. It’s not a casual walk in flip-flops, as there are steep hills and staircases to navigate. Be sure to wear sturdy walking or running shoes and bring a water bottle!
