- Story Bridge Adventure Climb - Enjoy the incredible Brisbane views from above the Story Bridge! Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure so your climb leader can explain the route and the all-important safety procedures. Once you are attached to the static line, your climb experience begins!
The climbs depart from base headquarters at Kangaroo Point. The incline is at its greatest as you make your way to the Summit Top Platform, one of the two high points of the climb, each approximately 262 feet (80 meters) above sea level. It’s from here that you will first experience the awe-inspiring 360-degree view of Brisbane, its river and surrounding mountain ranges. From the central platform you’ll traverse the width of the bridge, high above six lanes of traffic!

You’ll be mesmerized by the panoramic 360-degree landscape at the peak, comprising Moreton Bay, the Glass House Mountains, Lamington National Park, and the Brisbane River. During the 2-hour ascend, your climb guide not only ensures your safety but also enhances your experience with enlightening narratives about Brisbane’s environment and the history of Story Bridge.
- Children 6-16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum 1 x Adult to every 3 x Children
- Minimum height restriction of 110cm applies
- Minimum age is 6 years
- Not recommended for pregnant women after 20 weeks.
- Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities
- Climb is open for operation during most weather conditions including wet weather
- Maximum weight per person is 130kgs (286 lbs)
- PLEASE NOTE: You will need to take a breath alcohol test and register under .05, if you register over this amount the climb will be forfeited and no refund provided

Fun walk up a historic bridge - I joined the Story Bridge climb and had a wonderful time! Our guide Adam was helpful, personable, knowledgeable and competent, with a great sense of humour. Safety is a priority given the location and physicality of the tour: walking along 1200 steps to a height of 80 meters above the Brisbane river, so the tour provides overalls and climbing gear, along with procedures such as ensuring zero alcohol levels (you have to blow into a detection device) and metal/object detector sweep to ensure no loose items are taken along (your phone, camera, wallet/purse, keys, everything must be placed in a locker at the tour office starting point). The tour itself is straightforward: walking to the bridge and up on the steps on the soan that lead to the top of the bridge. I opted for the morning tour and the views of Brisbane, its skyline, the river vistas and extended environs of Brisbane were a great sight to enjoy. Along the way, Adam provided interesting and historic information on the bridge and Brisbane. He also took several photos of participants at different spots along the way, available for purchase (note: one photo is included with the ticket price). This was a fun, great activity and I would highly recommend!

Incredible views - Excellent! While a little nervous of heights, I felt completely safe. Yes lots of stairs, but incredible views. Friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it and Adam in particular made it a lot of fun...very information, and loved hearing the history of the bridge plus surrounding areas, which I didn't know even though have lived in Brisbane all my life. Definitely would recommend to visitors and locals.

Great time and experience - Alison was a fabulous guide, I felt so safe and cared for. The scenery was amazing and the history interesting. Well worth doing and well managed so all ages are catered for.

Excellent climb - Very good climb by the instructor jasper, with safety training till the end of the climb. Good photos. Would recommend going on the twilight climb.

Great views at twilight - Very glad I did this during twilight the views during the sunset and into nighttime were amazing.

Wow factor climbing the Story Bridge - Had a great experience with our leader Grace. She had lots of historical stories to tell and provided excellent safety information. Had time to stop and admire the view many times. Worth doing and not too hard on the body.
