Just book it! - The day was spectacular. We stayed on KI and met our transport driver at the airport. From there were dropped off by Sealink at the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery which was a GREAT stopover while we awaited pickup from the Sealink tour bus. It was a full bus with 50 people but don’t let that scare you— the driver/guide was amazing. We hit Seal Bay, Remarkable Rocks, the Arch, stopped for a wonderful lunch (where we bought a bottle of local wine), and the wildlife sanctuary. The day was spaced wonderfully, never spending too much time on the bus. The tour guide was fun and funny, and so knowledge about the history of KI, the landscape and climate, fauna and flora, the wildlife, and local attractions. The day trip was a really great value and I would recommend it 100%!

What a great tour - Great experience seeing rare Australian Seals, Admirals Arch, Fur Seals, the Remarkable Rocks, not to mention the wildlife and getting to actually hold a koala (extra but worth it). Our guide Richard was so knowledgeable and had such a great sense of humor. Highly recommend.

Fantastic day. Fantastic tour guide / driver. - Yes, you’re on the coach a lot. But there’s a lot of miles to cover to show you the top 4 attractions on kangaroo island. Totally worth it in my opinion. The best tour and our guide, Richard, made it even better. So knowledgeable on flora and fauna. Fantastic day.

A memorable day - The guide was very knowledgeable so the onboard commentary was very interesting and she spotted kangaroos and koalas as we drove along. The tour highlighted a selection of really interesting and different places of interest, so there was something for everyone. The lunch was extremely good too. We can recommend this tour as a great way of seeing Kangaroo Island.

Tour great. Some disappointments - Tour guide was amazing. His level of knowledge and commentary was incredible. Enjoyed the whole day. Lunch was provided as gluten free and was lovely. My only issue was, on the ferry, they had the gluten free options surrounded by glutened cakes. By the end of the trip to KI the carrot cakes were knocked all over them making them extremely dangerous to anyone who is gluten free. I mentioned this to them and they apologized. On the trip home, I looked again and found they had done nothing to fix the issue. I mentioned it again and hope they took my protests on board.

A long day, but so much to see - Please be aware, this is a long day tour, even more so if you are doing it from Adelaide. We enjoyed this tour but there is a lot of time on the bus. We did about 400km in a day with the stops in between. Seal bay was really great as was the wildlife park at the end. I. Australian and I had never patted a koala before this tour. So that was very special. We went to remarkable rocks, which we thought might be meh, but it was really nice and fantastic to see. My only complaint was the lunch. It was average at best. Crumbed fish, chips and dry salad, already on the table when we arrived, Luke warm, no options unless you are vegetarian. I understand the need for a limited time stop, but many tours I have been on, lunch menus were passed around early in the day so orders could be phoned to the restaurant in time for lunch. Otherwise, our tour guide Danni, was fantastic, she is knowledgeable as she lives on the island and she made it very clear early on, what the schedule was for the day and the need to stick to her time lines. Everyone obeyed and the day went very well. I can recommend this tour, but be aware doing this in 1 day is a lot.

Very negative and distressing experience - Very negative and distressing experience during a bushfire emergency. It is extremely disappointing that, as the main company managing tourism on the island, SeaLink was so poorly prepared and showed such disregard for passenger safety and wellbeing. They were already aware from Monday morning that there were active bushfires and emergency conditions, yet the tour was not cancelled. Why continue operating when the situation was clearly unsafe? This decision put our safety at risk and was completely irresponsible. After ferry services were cancelled, we were left stranded with no clear information, no contingency plan, and no real assistance. There were people in our group with medical needs who depended on medication, and at no point did we feel supported. We were abandoned to our fate during a crisis. Instead of help, we were pushed toward extremely expensive accommodation, lost flights due to the lack of timely communication, and experienced hostile, inhumane treatment from a guide who even suggested sleeping on the beach. A promised pickup the next morning never happened, and staff were completely unaware of our situation. We were forced to buy last-minute flights at an enormous cost. This experience was heartbreaking and emotionally exhausting. The way this situation was handled affected not only our physical safety but also our emotional stability. Because of this negligence, I am now demanding a full refund. The island deserves far better, and after what we went through, no one in our group wants to return.
