Kandy - Kandy, nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka, is a cultural gem renowned for its sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, an emblem of Buddhist worship. The city’s lush greenery, picturesque landscapes, and vibrant markets offer a sensory delight, enticing travelers to explore its rich heritage and scenic beauty.

- Kandy - Kandy, nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka, is a cultural gem renowned for its sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, an emblem of Buddhist worship. The city’s lush greenery, picturesque landscapes, and vibrant markets offer a sensory delight, enticing travelers to explore its rich heritage and scenic beauty.
You will be starting your tour from your hotel in Kandy at 7:00 am in the morning.Your guide will pick you up and chauffeur you to your first destination, Ramboda Falls.
- Ramboda Waterfall - This waterfall is 109m high and the 11th highest in Sri Lanka. You will get to the waterfalls at 8:30 am; just as the sun starts glinting over the water, throwing colourful rainbow reflections. You can spend a pleasurable half hour relaxing and refreshing yourself and making some photographic memories too.
- Hakgala Botanic Gardens - You will reach your next destination, the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, at 10:00 am. The gardens are the second largest of the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. The garden is famous for the many floral species; especially the Orchids and Roses. The site is also believed to be the location of the legendary Ashoka Vatika from Ramayana; the pleasure gardens where Sita was kept hidden. You will be spending an hour at the gardens and leaving at 11:00 am.
- Park Green Tea Factory - After this, you will be travelling to the tea factory. You will get there by 11:30 am and have a guided tour for an hour and a half. You will get to see part of the tea estate and the process of tea plucking, the drying, processing of the leaves and the creation of tea into its various quality levels. You will also be able to purchase some fresh tea leaves at the gift shop and sample a cup of tea with some cake.
- Nuwara Eliya - You will be leaving the premises at 1:00 pm and travelling to the town of Nuwara Eliya, which is less than a quarter hour away. You will then be able to have lunch at your own cost, in one of the restaurants recommended by your guide. At 2:30 pm your guide will take on a tour of Nuwara Eliya. The town was one of the prime resort locations of the British during the 18th and 19th century; with white picket fences, elegant manor homes, and vine-draped villas. You will be visiting the attractive Old Post Office and will be able to buy some attractive picture postcards of the region there.
- Gregory Lake - You will also get to see Gregory Lake, which was named after the British Governor, Sir William Gregory who was key in constructing it. Gregory Lake, situated in the heart of Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka, is a picturesque reservoir renowned for its stunning scenery and recreational activities. Created during the British colonial era, the lake serves as a focal point for both locals and tourists alike, offering boat rides, lakeside walks, and serene picnicking spots. Surrounded by lush greenery and mist-covered mountains, Gregory Lake provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, making it a must-visit destination in Sri Lanka.
- Shanthipura View Point - At 4:00 pm your driver will take you to Shanthipura; which lies just 15 minutes away from the town. This village is the highest in the entire Northeast region of the island. As such it provides wonderful views of the mountains, valleys and the town of Nuwara Eliya. After taking some excellent photographs and watching the sunset; you will be leaving at 4:45 pm. You will get back to your hotel in Kandy by 7:00 pm, completing the tour.
