Very worthwhile emotional journey of remembrance. - We booked this tour as a private party of 3. I would definitely recommend this as the journey time from Bangkok was 2.5 hours there and 3.5 hours back, so it would be much longer with further drops offs/pick ups. The mini bus was amazing with reclining seats meaning we could sleep on the way back, it’s a very long day. Our tour guide was fabulous, giving us lots of information but also giving us the time to look at sites of interest. We never felt rushed. The tour was fabulous from start to finish. The cemetery was quite emotional to see, especially the young ages on the memorial stones. We had a visit to the museum which was good, then a long boat ride along the river Kwai to the bridge which was amazing. The river Kwai bridge, again was emotional to see thinking of those who suffered in constructing the original. We then had a train journey along the railway line for 1.25 hours, then stopped for lunch at a most beautiful site with amazing views. The lunch was fabulous. We really had a most amazing day.

Private tour to the Bridge over the River Kwai - This was our second trip in just two days (the first being the floating and train markets, along with a visit to the coconut farm), and once again, it was an incredible experience today. Again opting for the private hire option was absolutely the right choice upon this trip to the bridge over the River Kwai. Adul, our tour guide today, went above and beyond to make us feel truly special—nothing was ever too much trouble for him or the driver. We also enjoyed a wonderfully arranged stop for food, which was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Adul embodies the qualities of a true gentleman at every turn. We can’t recommend this experience highly enough and extend our heartfelt thanks to Adul! Carl & Paula

Most enlightening tour. - Don’t leave Bangkok without taking this tour. Our guide, Betty, was so knowledgeable about the bridge, the surrounding area, the cemetery. We Are happy we chose a private tour - as we were able to have all our questions answered. It was truly a learning experience. It is a long drive from Bangkok but enjoyed seeing the countryside. Highly highly recommend

Must see - It was great to visit and we got to walk over the bridge, also went on a long boat ride which was a bit of fun, there is lots of food stalls and a market near by, when we were there around the 9th of march 2024 it was very hot and humid, so take or buy plenty of water

Moving trip well worth it . - We had a lovely guide maned Panya unfortunately he was very ill and although very knowledgeable it was quite obvious he was gravely ill. We really hope that his diagnosis is good and he gets well soon . Due to his ill health he was difficult to hear . The whole experience of the journey on the water 💦 boat , train and cemetery museum was fabulous . The lunch fabulous too . Yes it’s a long journey but the sacrifice that the POWs gave is nothing in comparison!

Bridge on the river kwai trip - The whole trip is run well and the guide and driver are great. Trip on the train was nice and chilled and lunch was good. Long tail boat was ok ..photo on the water heading up to the bridge is nice. Only downside is the return to bangkok, it does take a while as bangkok roads are so busy

Great option for older, less mobilr travellers - This is definitely one for the more mobile people. We were taken to the memorial, and then the Jeath museum, but then they take you in a boat to the Bridge. As an older couple, we were not able to get into the boat due to it being so the van drove us to Bridge. Getting onto the train was quite a step up, but we managed to get on and off. It was definitely worth the effort to be able to see what these amazing men achieve under unbelievable circumstances
