Best experience in Japan hands down! - This was hands down our favorite part of our Japan trip. We learned all about the culture and the translator they had setup made things funny and so useful for us to communicate with the language barrier. We had a blast! 10/10 recommend

Cooking with Samurai Chef is the Best! - We celebrated part of our 2nd year wedding anniversary on Japan with this fun cooking class in Kanazawa. Not only did we get to wear really cool sushi chef outfits, we also got to learn the tried and true Japanese cooking techniques from a professional chef. We made both well-known dishes and dishes local to Kanazawa. The samurai chef also took great pictures throughout and was able to airdrop them before we left the class. The class has a very casual and fun atmosphere, while still being really informative on both ingredients and also technique. We were able to walk away with a PDF complete with all the ingredients, techniques, and secrets that we learned in the class. This is the real deal and I can't recommend it enough for everyone, from solo travelers to couples, and also families. The chef uses two types of translation devices to make sure that his class is accessible to everyone, regardless of language ability.

The best & most authentic Japanese experience we’ve had! - We absolutely loved this cooking class, learning from Nakata San who is so talented! The live translation made conversations really easy with Nakata San who was very engaging and really funny! It was great to be able to learn some very authentic recipes from this class. Both myself and my husband aren’t the greatest cooks, but that did not get in the way of us being able to learn and practice Nakata San’s teachings. This is definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan and I would recommend this to anyone who travels to Kanazawa and is seeking an authentic Japanese food experience. Thank you Nakata San!!

One of the highlights of our trip to Japan! - One of the highlights of our trip to Japan! Seiji and his wife Ikumi have been the most friendly and fun hosts and did teach us how to cook traditional recipes from Japan cuisine. Ingredients were fresh and of high quality and the facilities impressive. They have also kindly catered for my needs to have a Gluten Free meal and they have been a pleasure to meet. Highly recommended.

One of our best meals in Japan…and we got to cook it. - This was a highlight of our trip to Kanazawa and to Japan as a whole. If you love cooking (like my hubby does) or love eating (like I do), book this class. You will have an excellent meal and learn some techniques to bring home. Nakata San and his wife were a joy (and hilarious). And don’t worry about a language barrier, as Nakata San uses the latest tech, so there is live translations happening the whole time, and his jokes are funny in Japanese and English. :-) We cooked a large variety of Japanese dishes, from sushi and miso soup, to more jibuni and tamago. Not to mention, he takes a ton of photos for you the whole time and air drops them to you at the end. So you can focus on having fun. Don’t miss this!!!!

Best part of our Japan trip so far! - We showed up to this incredible experiences and ended up being the only ones in the class! My fiancé and I had so much fun learning about Japanese cooking, eating it and the chef is so incredibly kind and funny as well. We had no issues with communication, the chef uses two kinds of translation and can speak some English. This was our favourite experience so far in Japan and I cannot recommend it enough. You learn skills you can take home with you, plus the chef takes really nice photos while you are cooking and airdrops them to you at the end of the cooking class. It’s such amazing value for the experience!
