Bravo to kamari tours! - Kamari tours is the most organized tourist agency in Santorini with many options to visit the island’s top spots. I have preferred it 2 times the first tour was with a guide Christos where we visited the Volcano of Santorini and the springs. Christos spoke several languages as well as children's Greek that most people were from various countries. The second trip we did was with a guide Tanya who was also polite and with a terrible mood and she and Nikos the Guide so we had a good time. Thank you for the wonderful tours!

Best Santorini tour - Great tour: the tour guide (Tanya) was out of this world, knowledgeable and funny. On a single day you visit the monastery at the top of the mountain, walk through a really historic town (Megalochoriou-Akrotiriou), visit the Akrotiri museum, walk to the red beach and finish the day with lunch at Perissa beach and swim.

Akrotiri explore - We went to see Akrotiri… this was fulfilled. We enjoyed the archaeological site immensely. The other stops were interesting… but the whole tour was much longer than we expected…we did not plan on eating lunch at 4 pm and returning to our hotel at 6… I think a lunch at red beach would have sufficed … Tonya was an excellent an informative guide.

A delightful tour but a possible revision of schedule needed! - This was a very enjoyable experience. Our tour guide was energetic and clearly loved her job which made it all the more worthwhile. The Akrotiri guide was informative and punctual and the bus was super comfortable! Overall as a trip we felt that it was too rushed and that it was more a matter of quantity over quality. I went with 4 family members and they all agreed that it would have been better to not bother with the Red Beach at all and instead use that 30 minutes saved at the lovely Megalochori village (our second stop for the day only 30 mins long but so much to see). The Red Beach was simply a 15 minute hike to view the cliffs from afar, to then hike back again which we felt wasn't worth it. Honestly-speaking everything was wonderful but I do think they should try to revise the schedule. I'd be interested to know if others felt similarly.

Don't visit on Mondays - I wrote this once but it was misinterpreted. First of all, Kamari Travel are good and the rep on the coach was very good and jovial. My concern was that the Archeological site closes at 3.30pm on Mondays and we weren't informed. With the arrival time of the coach we only had 30 minutes to view. An oversight by Kamari as this was the main reason for us taking the trip. The other disappointment was that the akratiri site still charged the full €20 for such a short time. There was also a sign saying a discounted price was available for over 65's of €10, however when we asked, we were told it only applied to EU Citizens. My thought is this is rather unfair for anyone from the UK as we personally call ourselves European. Not Kamari Travel fault, but I did feel this could have been made clear. The visit to the Monestary does not include any entry. The Monks don't allow visitors. Again, it would have helped to be informed before booking. We have visited Monestaries in Italy and bought their produce. Finally, don't expect lots of blue domed roofs and be prepared to queue to take a photograph of the best ones. I'm just highlighting various issues so the traveller is aware.
