Worthwhile day trip from the hustle of Tokyo - There are many shrines to see in Kamakura and it is a beautiful walk around the town. The plum trees have started to flower and the grounds of the sacred sites are pretty and peaceful. It’s only 50 minutes from Tokyo, easy to get to and definitely worth the trip. Our guide was a local who shared his experience getting married at the shrine.

Not far from Tokyo, a must-see destination. - Kamakura is a concentrate of interesting things to see, from the great Buddha to the great Shinto temple, to the beautiful city center with nice shops and clubs, to the nearby beach for surfers. Easily accessible from Tokyo in just over 40 minutes by train, it is a destination that will not disappoint you.
