Great learning experience - The driver dropped us off at a home where we learned how to make a few Kenyan dishes. They gave us a few options to choose between which was great. All the food was flavorful and delicious. If we can remember how, we will try some again at home. Then a driver came and picked us up and dropped us back at our hotel again. The drivers and women teaching us were all great at answering questions about Kenya and sharing about what life is like there.

cCooking lesson that unites and educates! - Highly recommend this activity! It is a fantastic opportunity to get an insight into Kenyan everyday life at the home of incredibly nice and warm host, Divinah. The food we cooked together was super duper nice. We are also extremely grateful for the wonderful moment we had to enjoy getting answers to all our questions about life in Kenya. Wonderful memory for life!

Authentic and brilliant - The cooking class was an absolute highlight of our trip. We were picked up in the morning and were able to gather impressions of other parts of the city on the way. We made delicious Kenyan tea together and were able to talk about culture, music, school, life in the country/city and much more. We first watched the cooking and then were allowed to try it ourselves. It was incredibly delicious and also good to get to know the typical dishes right at the start of our trip. We recommend this cooking class to anyone who wants to get a unique impression of authentic Kenyan culture.

What a great foodie experience - What a fabulous experience. Delicious, hands on and lots of laughs and fun. Our hosts were absolutely delightful. Welcoming, knowledgeable and patient with not such skilled participants. The star of the show was our host’s little helper ( her daughter) who was so beautiful. Such a valuable learning experience and we got to eat up great food. Thankyou, Thankyou.

Delicious, informative, fun, relaxing! The perfect start to our Kenya vacation. - Delightful young women shared recipes for three dishes: mokimo, ungali, and beef stew. The chai tea was aromatic as well as delicious and served to enjoy while we cooked. While we prepared the food they readily answered questions about other traditional foods and customs from different regions of Kenya. Their enthusiasm and passion to share their love of Kenya and its food was very evident in our conversation. My husband and I learned much about Kenya and it’s food. We highly recommend this activity as a gateway to your Kenya visit. The meal was delicious!

Fun Nairobi Cooking Class - We always try to schedule a local cooking class during our travels abroad. This was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. A wonderful experience cooking lunch, and interacting with a large Kenyan family. Easy round-trip transportation was furnished from our Nairobi hotel.

Local cuisine at its best! - It is a standing practice to experience the preparation of local dishes during our travel. The cooking of the Kenyan cuisine was well done. Explanations were straight forward and easy to understand. The pick-up was on time. We enjoyed the interesting conversation about Kenya and the local dishes. At the end we devoured a delicious local meal of ugali, mukimo and beef stew. The use of pumpkin leaves was a new experience.
A warm thank you to the instructors who made us feel welcome and appreciated.
