This famous Buddhist temple, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, is located in central Java. It was built in three tiers: a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces, the trunk of a cone with three circular platforms and, at the top, a monumental stupa. The walls and balustrades are decorated with fine low reliefs, covering a total surface area of 2,500 m2. Around the circular platforms are 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha. The monument was restored with UNESCO’s help in the 1970s. Highlighting the stone reliefs and the many faces of Buddha.

Very interesting tour with an excellent driver - The circuit is great. I thank our driver, Maxi, for his dynamism and availability. He accompanied us perfectly during the day and was attentive to our needs to adapt to our requests. Both sites are beautiful and the final show is very interesting.

Insightful, Enjoyable, and Absolutely Worth It - This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia. We were lucky to have Dani as our guide—he’s not only incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the region, but also warm, respectful, and genuinely funny. His stories brought the ancient sites to life, and he kept the day flowing effortlessly while making sure we were always comfortable and engaged.
We started at Borobudur, where the climb to the top was an awe-inspiring experience, especially with Dani’s explanations of the temple’s history and symbolism. From there, we visited Prambanan, a striking complex of temples with intricate carvings that tell fascinating stories, followed by the Ramayana Ballet, which brought the ancient epic to life in a vibrant and captivating performance.
The tour is absolutely worth it—each site is impressive on its own, but Dani’s insights truly elevated the experience. Highly recommend!

Fun and informative tour. Stunning cultural sites. - Hibza was a wonderful tour guide who helped us see wonderful sites and shared his culture with us. He even pulled over to buy us some tasty Snake Fruit when he found out we had never tried any before. We loved our tour and would happily book with Hibza again!

Great day out in Yogyakarta - Great tour. Takes you to two of Yogyakarta's ancient sites and bucket list items. Adit was a great guide and made sure I had an awesome time and that I knew what was happening of the tour. He also made time so I could have lunch and rest stops.

Great tour-highly recommend - Habzeh was a great driver and guide. He was punctual, helpful, amicable, and patient. The full day tour is a great way to see the cultural sites in one day. Note, there is a small fee for tour guides inside the temple grounds for Prambanan. There is enough downtime in between sites during transit to enjoy Luwak coffee, rest and eat lunch if desired.

Worth stopping by Jogja! - Excellent tour. The guide and driver, Aditya, was fluent in English and was supportive, and helpful. I learned a lot about Indonesia history and culture through our discussions while going around. I highly recommend the full-day tour to visit two famous religious and historic sites, Borobudur and Prambanan temples. Worth stopping by Yogyakarta (for the locals Jogja) if you are in Indonesia.

Amazing visit to Borobudur and Prambanan temples! - Adit was absolutely amazing! He was not only very friendly and approachable, but he also answered all of our questions in detail. His knowledge about the history of both temples was impressive, and he shared fascinating stories that enriched our experience. Additionally, he managed to secure our tickets for the ballet effortlessly, which added a special touch to our trip. Great tour with Adit and Asmaradhana citytouryoga - The tour was really nice and our driver Adit was extraordinary. He give us a lot of information on the both temples and we exchange a lot. He is very nice. We warmly recommend him.
We recommend to book the tour as soon as possible, since the Ramayana ballet ticket are rare. Widi, the tour operator advise us as soon as possible that we might miss the Ramayana ballet, because all the indoor tickets were¹ sold out.
Widi and Adit did their best and we had the chance to see this amazing show although we book the tour on last minute.
