Additional Information

The world’s greatest museum of shape and form is how Italian mountaineer/author Fosco Maraini described Concordia in his book, Karakoram. In Concordia, six peaks over 7,925 meters rise to touch the heavens, including K2 (8,611 m) the 2nd highest mountain on earth. After visiting Islamabad, we fly to Skardu and then drive to the trail head and meet our colorful expedition porters, sturdy mountain men. As we trek up to this other-worldly place we enter a remarkable wilderness of ice, rock and sky. By the time we reach Paiju Camp at the foot of the Baltoro Glacier, we begin to feel the pulse of creation: the ice melts the rocks roll , and the glacier creaks and groans, rearranging its icy rivers. When we reach Concordia we are rewarded with the most incredible mountain views in the world.

Lifetime Experience to Baltistan K2 - We were traveling around the world since couple of years and we found Pakistan is completely different, amazing and worth to visit. Before visiting there, all of our friends and relatives denied to go by showing security concerns. But all those assumptions and news were nothing to do with Pakistan from Landing to Departure. The only thing we felt was so much hot weather in Islamabad. The journey towards K2 starts by having a magnificent view of Karakorum, Himalayas and Hindukush ranges from plane. Everyone of us amazed to see the tall mountains and all mountains under one window. A lifetime journey from the most scenic flight. The harsh thing we collectively felt the life of porters during the trek. They were strong enough but the financial empowerment and educational graphs needed to be upgrade. Their faces were so beautiful. They helped us at every campsite despite their tiredness. They enjoy the moment by singing and dancing at different campsites. This attitude gives us a lot. Apart from their life, the sceneries, backdrops and route were speechless. Everyone of us liked the trek and enjoyed every moment. We fortunately booked our trek with Visit in Pakistan Tours. They gave us a bit higher price but worth it. Their logistics, plans, support and professionalism was outstanding. They did more than we decided and didn't charged anything extra. Highly recommended Visit in Pakistan Trekking agency for trekking journeys like K2 base camp.

Amazing mountain and and natural beauty - *Amzaing Mountain* K2 Base Camp Concordia trek was by far the highlight of my three and half weeks trip to Pakistan. The physical effort pales into insignificance as you come across the most amazing mountains around every corner on the trail most people can do the trek and its worth the effort the teams that support you are excellent. We traveled as a small group of three and the personalized service from visit in Pakistan treks tours and expeditions and included meals were outstanding. From the late night arrival in Islamabad experience to our trek to K2 Base Camp, VIP TOURS had everything covered. KAMAL was a passionate guide and shared his knowledge with us over 24 days. Everyone on our trip, including porters, chef and guides went above and beyond, exceeding every single one of our expectations. No detail was left to chance. K2 is not to be missed.
