Karakoram Highway - Embark on a journey along the legendary Karakoram Highway towards Chilas, a gateway to K2. After breakfast, your scenic road trip begins, taking you through some of the world’s most awe-inspiring landscapes. Skardu - Arrive in Skardu by midday, the gateway to the K2 Base Camp trek, nestled in the stunning Karakoram Range. After a scenic drive, settle into this serene town, surrounded by towering peaks and lush valleys, the perfect base for final preparations. Enjoy lunch with breathtaking views, then attend a pre-trek briefing where your guide will review the itinerary, safety protocols, and essential details for the trek. This is also the time to ensure your trekking gear is ready.

In the afternoon, explore Skardu Bazaar for local handicrafts and gear, or take a short trip to nearby attractions like Sheosar Lake or Deosai National Park if time permits. Jeep drive to Askoli (3050m)

Trek to Jula Campsite (3200m) – Beginning the K2 Base Camp Journey

Jhola Camp - Day 5 marks the start of your trekking adventure as you depart from Askole and trek towards the Jhola Campsite (3200m). Over the next 5-6 hours, you’ll hike through rugged terrain, crossing the beautiful Braldu Valley. The drive from Skardu typically takes 8-10 hours, winding through the beautiful Indus Valley and along the famous Karakoram Highway (KKH). As you descend from the higher altitudes, the scenery shifts from the stark, majestic mountains to more temperate landscapes with rivers, forests, and valleys.

Alternatively, if your route takes you toward Naran, you’ll continue along the Kaghan Valley, enjoying panoramic views of rivers, alpine meadows, and towering peaks.

Upon arrival in Islamabad, you’ll have some time to relax and freshen up before heading to Islamabad International Airport for your departure flight.
