Normand as a tour guide for these three sites is an absolute must. - The tour guide Normand made the tour fantastic.. He was so enthusiastic about his city and very informative. Normand gave us two or three options for each destination and gave us so much background to each place. He gave us the opportunity to make choices so we felt the tour was more personal. We felt like we were travelling with a friend. We couldn’t recommend Normand’s tour more highly. We throughly enjoyed seeing all three of the sights and Normand’s company.

Great tour guide - My wife and I booked this trip with Normunds Heincis and we would strongly recommend it. Normunds was professional and knowledgeable. Beyond the 3 stated destinations, he also took us through some parts of the Riga suburbs that we would not have seen. The car was very nice and comfortable and Normunds tailors the trip to your desires. One thing I'd point out is the main chance for food/lunch is at Rundale Palace, so either plan extra time for that or bring food to eat on the road.

Magical day in Latvia! - My colleague and dear friend Dave and I did an all-day tour with Normunds, and honestly, it’s hard to put into words what a joyful, kind, soulful, and deeply attuned person he is. From the moment we met him, we felt completely taken care of—not in a scripted, commercial way, but in the hands of someone who genuinely loves what he does. Throughout the day, Normunds offered us a perfect blend of structure and spontaneity. He crafted multiple options as we went, adjusting timing and stops based on our energy and interests. He clearly knows every person and hidden corner along the way, and because of that, he created moments for us that felt truly unique—like we were being let in on a secret. His storytelling was vivid and full of humor and heart, balanced beautifully with space for quiet reflection and independent exploration. Normunds speaks excellent English and reads his guests with remarkable intuition. He shaped the tone of the day with such grace—knowing when to go deep, when to laugh, when to step back. It was, in every sense, a peak experience. Dave and I have done many of these one-day tours throughout different parts of Europe, and this one was truly in a class of its own. We walked away with not just beautiful memories, but the rare feeling that we had been on a journey with someone who genuinely wanted to gift us the best of his home. A perfect day trip! - We had an amazing day trip from Riga visiting the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Bauska Castle with our private tour guide. The sights were beautiful and really give you insight of the history of the Baltic states. The best part was getting to know the local area outside the old town in Riga. Highly recommended!

Superb day trip 10/10 - This was my first time in Latvia and I wanted to see more than just Riga but wasn't comfortable hiring a car or figuring out public transport. I booked a day trip with Normunds and it was the best decision we made. Normunds picked us up as agreed at 10am from the hotel and drove us around Riga explaining the history of Riga and answering our questions. We then drove into Lithuania and visited the Hill of Crosses which was a fasinating place. Visiting in February was a good choice as the snow was beautiful and it was so quiet. There were only 3 other people there! We then visited Rundale Palace which is a magnificent place! We had the whole place to ourselves! February is really the time to come if you prefer things quieter and to avoid the summer crowds. Finally we visited Bauska Castle which was a renovated castle. Very well done blending the old with the new. All in all a superb day and well worth the money. I think it was excellent value and Normunds told us things about Latvia that we never would have known otherwise. Thank you Normunds for a wonderful day.

A day you’ll always remember - We had thought about hiring a car and doing this itinerary ourselves, but we’re so glad we decided to book this tour instead. Our guide, Normunds, was not only great company and very likeable, he was also hugely knowledgeable. We learned so much that we’d never have found out without his expertise. One of the highlights of the day turned out to be the lunch (which doesn’t even get a mention in the itinary!), and Normunds good humour and willingness to accommodate any request we had. If you only have a few days in Riga then I thoroughly recommend this tour as a great way of absorbing a lot history, culture and maybe even a beer or two with lunch! The Hill of Crosses is absolutely not to be missed and Rundale Palace is stunning. Thoroughly recommend!

Great tour and knowledgeable guide - Great tour with Normands who is a great and very knowledgeable guide. Tour covers the 3 areas with good time and a bonus stop for lunch gives a nice break. Would recommend to anyone visiting Riga, tour takes around 7 hours (woth lunch) so can easily fit into a day and still have the evening to explore Riga.

Interesting in parts - It was a long day, interesting in parts, although it was more like getting a taxi to three locations, no interaction from the driver to speak of, although a good recommendation for lunch, and 2 hours on a long straight road to the "Hill" is a bit of a challenge, we did see a roundabout on the way! Bauska was the last stop and fortunately the best was kept to last.
