Experience stunning views of Tokyo Bay, Rainbow Bridge, and other landmarks while dining on special traditional Japanese cuisine crafted for international tourists, complete with all-you-can-drink (beer, shochu, Japanese sake, whiskey, wine, umeshu, and soft drinks).
You’ll be served aboard a “Yakatabune,” an old-fashioned houseboat that dates back to the Edo period, historically used by the Japanese elite for leisure and entertainment on the water. The friendly and welcoming staff enhance the nostalgic atmosphere, transporting you back to the days of old Japan as soon as you step on board, allowing you to enjoy both classic and modern Tokyo simultaneously.
- We do not have infant seats available, but there is a Tatami mat area where a group of about 6 people can sit comfortably. This ensures infants do not need to sit on laps during the cruise.
- Departure time ranges between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM and will be confirmed via email, depending on the date and weather.
- Please ensure you check in 30 minutes before departure. Unfortunately, late arrivals are non-refundable.
- The cruise operates in rainy conditions but may be canceled under exceptional circumstances such as earthquakes, tsunamis, or storms. We will notify you promptly via email in such cases.
- Please note that the route may be subject to change.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dietary requirements for dinner.
- Special meals are available for infants aged 3 to 5 years old.
- If you are celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday or wedding anniversary, please inform us at the time of booking. We offer a small gift which will be provided by the staff for celebrations (Only for 7 days before and after the birthday). You are welcome to bring your own cakes.
- Seating arrangements depend on the type of boat used that day; therefore, seating cannot be booked in advance. While we typically arrange tables by group, in some cases, you may share a table with other guests.
- Boat Facilities include Western-style toilets, air conditioning in summer, heating in winter, and lifesaving devices as required by Japanese law.
- Please note, that if the minimum of 20 participants is not met, the tour may be canceled. In such instances, we will notify you at least 5 days prior to the tour date.

Unusual dining experience. - Had a great evening on this cruise. The views along the Sumida river were beautiful lit up at night. Food and drink was good and plentiful and the young serving staff were absolutely lovely.

Book this. Best cruise dinner to enjoy a night in tokyo. - Great cruise dinner!!! I recommend to enjoy a nice night out in city of Tokyo. Boat looks like old Japanese wooden boats. You sit on ground but has openings for legs so you are sitting normal. Boat is big and they separate tables with like barriers for privacy. 10 course meal and food is very good and all you can drink (soda or alcohol). Boat goes throughout the city and under many bridges. You stop by tokyo skytree for great view and pictures. A very nice dinner cruise that you will enjoy.

Poorly communicated departure details by booking agency - Unfortunately I cannot give an actual review of the cruise itself as there was a misunderstanding of the start time.
Viatour departure details typically specifically what time and where you should be waiting to join. However, the departure information on the app and the ticket I downloaded only said 6pm. So I showed up at 5:45 just to be sure. However, the cruise had already departed.
After looking through confirmation emails, I found that the original email did state to be there at 5pm and the cruise would leave at 6pm.
So, yes, my mistake, but this information should have been clearly shown in the app and on the ticket, not just on one confirmation email.
I was extremely disappointed to have missed this experience as it looks amazing. The pier was festive and the staff at the pier was lovely. They actually considered having the boat turn back for a minute and checked to see if there was an opening the next day I could do instead. Sadly there was nothing they could do, but absolutely lovely people. Just wish the booking agency was more clear with their information.
