A “must do” in Japan - Great immersive and interactive experience of the local culture and cuisine in a real Japanese home! Our guide Hiro and his aunt Keiko walked us through the preparation of a typical home-made Japanese meal of tempura, vegetable soup, onigiri and assorted appetizers. He presented his local heritage that added a nice personal touch to our experience. Overall, this tour is highly recommended if you want to see and experience first-hand an unsanitized version of Japanese life. We left having a great sense of personal connection to our hospitable hosts and a deeper appreciation of Japanese culture!

What an immersive experience of Japanese culture and food - We had the best experience with Hiro and Basama. We were picked up from the train station and brought to their lovely home. We learned about their culture and food. We learned how to make miso soup, rice ball, tempura. The food was from local ingredients. They were delicious. The best thing was feeling part of their family as we shared the meal. One should experience this. Not only for the delicious natural food but the hospitality & warmth of Hiro & Basama. We have been to Japan many times but this is one experience where we really had a feel of true Japanese hospitality.

Walking by don't miss ~ - For the first time, take part in this type of event! The grandmothers were super gentle, like going back to "another home" in Japan. Everyone cooks, talks, eats together, and the whole person is healed. And there's an intimate vegetarian and halal counterpart that's really friendly to foreigners. If you want to really feel the temperature in Japanese homes, don't miss out on this experience. ❤️

An awesome and truly relaxing experience - I had a really great time there! I learned a lot about Japanese cuisine and had the chance to try it hands-on which made me really happy. I also enjoyed talking to Basama who was full of energy and was so cute! I do hope to return back in the future again.
