A Deeply Emotional Experience - Going on the Soweto day trip with the Philippians Tour Group this week was a deeply emotional experience for me. As a political activist in the 1980s and 1990s for almost 20 years, it was an evocative journey down memory lane. Our guide, Nathi, was sensitive and empathetic to the needs of the group. His quiet collaboration with personalized guides at each of the touch points - from Constitution Hill, to the Nelson Mandela House, to Vilakazi Street and the Regina Mundi Church in Soweto - created an utterly inspiring and deeply poignant experience for my family visiting from Australia and Switzerland. Spending this day with my business partner, Jabu Zwane, with whom I do transformation work in South Africa, was a deeply meaningful experience that bonded us together and created an unforgettable day that was rooted in the anguish of the past and the hope for the future. Thank you for an experience that was both very professional and deeply personal. I am so glad that we chose Philippines 4:13 Tour Group, whose guiding message is “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. It deeply inspired me in my walk of faith to make a difference in this country. Love Alison Weihe

Great experience - I had an amazing time learning about the history of Soweto. Tshepo, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and energetic throughout the entire tour. He even taught us a few words in his native tongue. Overall the experience was great, would highly recommend.

We visited Mandela’s house in Soweto, a precinct where Mandela was held and constitution hill. - Friendly tour guide with good knowledge of the history and city. I will definitely recommend this city tour. We couldn’t visit the apartheid museum so we visit a the constitution hill. It was a good option too.

Great and convenient, worth it - Very convenient tour, especially if you have limited time in the city. The itinerary covers the main sites in Soweto, and while the Apartheid Museum was closed for the holidays, the team seamlessly adjusted the schedule to include Constitutional Hill instead. Our guide, Bobo, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of South Africa. It was a well-organized and insightful experience. Highly recommend! We also booked everything the night before at 11pm, unsure if we would be able to make it, everything worked smoothly.

Great Tour! - Amazing tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Some of the exhibits were closed due to Boxing Day and they communicated ahead of time and provided an equivalent alternative. Would definitely recommend 10/10!

Untrustworthy - We had booked an apartheid museum tour to Solly and especially asked beforehand, if the museum is open (the tour was scheduled on Tuesday and museum offiacial web sites show the museum is closed on Tuesday). Solly assured us that the museum will be open. However, a day before our tour, he informed us that the museum will be closed and there is some substitute program. Even if he tried to solve the situation, the fact is, that he hold out on us when we made the reservation. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend Solly’s tour, because of a lack of reliability.
