Transfer to Sipi Falls

Sezibwa Falls - The journey begins at approximately 6:30 am from your location, heading towards Sipi Falls. The route will follow Kampala Mbale Soroti Moroto-Kotido-Kaabong Kidepo. A stopover will be made at Kayanja Trading Center, just beyond Mukono town, where a dirt road leads to Sezibwa Falls, renowned as the traditional falls of the Buganda kingdom. Here, witness the black water cascading over the rocks, a site believed by many locals to be a source of blessings. Enjoy cultural music and dance performances, and pick up some souvenirs. The journey will continue back to the main road, where snacks, roasted plantain (gonja), and roasted chicken can be purchased for the trip.

Source of the Nile - Speke Monument - The journey resumes on the main road towards Jinja, with a stopover in Jinja town for lunch. Before lunch, visit the source of the Nile and the Mahatma Gandhi statue.

Sipi Falls - Post-lunch, the driver will take you directly to the top of Sipi Falls, starting with the tallest fall at 100m. You will descend to the main fall, ascend to the second fall at 85m, and then descend to the shortest fall at 75m. The entire hike will take approximately 4-5 hours. During the hike, enjoy stunning views of Mount Elgon, the plains, and the sunset atop the falls. After the hike, you will be driven to Sipi River Lodge for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Coffee Tour Experience and Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo Valley National Park - On day 2 of the 5-day Sipi Falls and Kidepo wildlife tour, after breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet your driver-guide for a coffee tour. Visit local coffee plantations and learn about Arabica coffee production, from planting, weeding, and pruning to harvesting, drying, roasting, grinding, packing, and tasting. After the coffee tour, begin the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, with an en-route lunch and views of beautiful scenery, traditional homesteads, and local people. Upon arrival, check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day Game Drive in Kidepo National Park

Kidepo Valley National Park - At around 5:30 am, enjoy breakfast and meet the driver for an early morning game drive starting at 6:30 am with a briefing at the office. This day offers the best wildlife sightings in Kidepo Valley National Park. It’s recommended to pack a lunch box to spend the entire day game driving. During the morning drive, observe nocturnal mammals returning to their hideouts and carnivores that hunt at night before retreating. These include cheetahs, hyenas, foxes, caracals, and more.

Kidepo Valley National Park - After a 5-6 hour drive, enjoy lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive. Witness various mammals gathering at Narus Valley for water and cooling off from the sun’s heat. Animals spotted include elephants, Uganda kob, zebras, eland, buffalo, lions, bush pigs, duikers, and more, along with several bird species, including ostriches and beautiful butterflies.

Morning Game Drive and Evening Community Walk

Kidepo Valley National Park - Rise early, have breakfast, and meet the driver for a morning game drive to spot additional wildlife that may have been missed previously, ensuring a comprehensive game drive experience in Kidepo National Park.

Departure to Kampala

Kampala - On the final day of the 5-day Sipi Falls and Kidepo wildlife tour, after breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet the driver-guide for the transfer to Kampala. The route passes via Gulu-Kitgum with an en-route lunch, continuing to Kampala, arriving in the late evening. Upon arrival, the driver-guide will drop you off at Entebbe Airport for your departure flight or at your hotel.
