Breakfast & coffee tour - Angela was super nice and accommodating throughout. Great variety of food tried on the tour with some really niche spots. We tried things we wouldn’t have normally tried as tourists and that’s the best part of lost plate - they really make an effort to show you where and what locals eat and there’s no better way of discovering a city!

Breakfast local in Shanghai - A great experience that you otherwise miss as a tourist. Really eaten very locally with good explanation about the dishes. The length of the tour was also good. This is highly recommended.

Shanghai breakfast walking tour - Love it! - We really enjoyed this tour. Weijia was a great guide who took really good care of us, bringing us to so many shops selling local delicacies. She arranged everything for the group, and even battled (in a friendly way) with the local uncles queuing up at the fried fish shop. Having a local like Weijia to bring us around this very charming neighbourhood made the experience very special and I would highly recommend it. Thank you Weijia for sharing your stories & experiences with us and for being such a nice person with such infectious laughter. Keep laughing and wishing you health and happiness always!

A Must-Do in Shanghai! - I had the pleasure of joining the Shanghai Breakfast Food Tour, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The variety and authenticity of the dishes we tried were simply unmatched – from freshly made dumplings to local savory pancakes, every bite told a story of Shanghai's rich culinary culture. A huge shoutout to our tour guide, Emma, who truly elevated the experience. She was knowledgeable, personable, and so passionate about sharing the history and context behind each stop. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and she made me fell welcome and engaged throughout the tour. I love to visit places I would never have found on my own, especially the hidden gems. Emma also provided tips for other local spots to visit after the tour. If you're in Shanghai and want a memorable, delicious introduction to the city's food scene, this tour is an absolute must. Thanks again to Emma and the team for an unforgettable morning.

Great Shanghai breakfast experience - Emma was articulate and introduced us quite a fair bit of China and Shanghai’s culture. She engages with everyone in the group and is very helpful if we have questions about our itinerary. I highly recommend Emma as your local foodie guide if you are in the Shanghai!

Never Disappoints! - This breakfast tour was exactly what we were looking for as a family with small children. Weijia was an amazing guide and very sweet with our two little ones, and we were able to go at our own pace because we were the only ones on the tour. This tour didn’t require too much walking, but was enough for us to feel like we got to move around and see different places. The food that we had was all delicious and well-explained, too! Weijia also kindly accommodated our dietary restrictions without any forewarning or issue. We’ve done evening food tours (without kids) with Lost Plate in Beijing, too, so the versatility is really amazing that even with two littles under 3 we could all still have just as great a time. We always love the food and getting a fresh perspective on so many different aspects of the culture through walking the streets and trying the eats with a local.

A great tour! - I had a great time on this tour! It was well organised and we went to about 6 different places. The food was delicious and it was enough to keep me full until the evening. Our guide Emma was great! She was very friendly and gave us just the right amount of information about each food and each place we visited. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Shanghai
