• Jinan - The tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Jinan city and escort you to Jinan Railway Station. You will board the morning train to Qufu, a journey of approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival, you will head directly to the Temple of Confucius, which is about a 20-minute drive.
• Confucius Temple - The first stop is the Temple of Confucius, originally constructed in 478 BC to honor Confucius. Over the centuries, the temple has been rebuilt multiple times, undergoing 15 major renovations, 31 significant repairs, and numerous minor modifications. More than 300 structures were erected during the Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The temple follows the design specifications of imperial palaces, featuring yellow roof tiles and red-painted walls, surrounded by dark-green pine trees for a striking color contrast.
• Qufu Dacheng Hall - Explore the halls and courtyards with your tour guide, learn about the architectural symbolism, admire the statue of Confucius, visit the stone tablets, steles, and pavilions, and discover Confucius’ life and many historical and cultural items related to Confucius and his culture.
• Former Residence of Confucius in Qufu - Next, walk through the small market to continue exploring the Kong Family Mansion. The descendants of Confucius resided here and were responsible for conducting elaborate religious ceremonies for events such as plantings, harvests, honoring the deceased, and birthdays. The first mansion was built in 1038 and was originally directly connected to the temple.
• Kong Mansion - The family mansion was home to Confucius’ descendants until 1937. Today, the mansion consists of 152 buildings with 480 rooms.
• Kong Forest - Enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant, then take a short ride by car or tuk-tuk to Confucius Cemetery.

Confucius Cemetery has been the family burial ground for Confucius and his descendants for over two thousand years. It is the largest, oldest, and best-preserved single-family cemetery in China. Known as the Forest of Confucius due to the abundance of trees, over 20,000, it features numerous tombstones, temples, pavilions, and sculptures. Approximately 3,600 tombstones from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties remain standing in the cemetery.

After the tour concludes, the tour guide will accompany you to Qufu Railway Station and travel back with you to your hotel in Jinan.
