Long day ... must be an easier way - The trip was easy to book and a fair price. What should have been explicit were the travel arrangements and time it took. Pick from hotel in central Jerusalem be ready 05.45; realistic pick up 0620. The driver didn’t speak again as he picked various others up and then by 0800 we arrived at a hotel in Tel Aviv where three of us were asked to leave bus and wait for tour bus. We waited for 20 mins and a lovely guide arrived and told us where to get a coffee or juice as we would be setting off in 20 mins. The bus set of and was packed full. We enjoyed looking through the window at various monuments and Bauhaus white city. Then we arrived at a museum of the people in a university which was closed due to recess. The museum had a very clean toilet facility and cafe. It was the most boring place I’ve ever been. We were moments from botanical gardens and the tour didn’t include those. We were allocated 90 mins here. The pace from then on seemed rushed. Then we set off for Jaffa which was great but not enough free time. It felt like we were marched round at times listening to long monologues of history. ( forgive me some guests may have wanted that) I wanted more freedom to roam. Next thing the guide took us specifically to a shop to buy ... which reminded me of a rehearsed event on a previous trip to Bethlehem. Pressured to buy. The communication prior to this should have been clearer : the guide stated we are leaving the bus for 20 mins then we will meet at the bus again. In reality it was 2.5 hours with our sun hats and sun screen left on the bus Lunch freedom 50. Final afternoon furlong: more historic march about which we avoided for a gentle stroll n cold beer in the old railway station which I would recommend. Then freedom one hour in markets. On bus ; swop bus. Another driver ; no chat Whilst his Child asleep on front seat. Driver drive at high speed talking on phone for at least thirty mins a few near misses on collisions and commences drop offs. Totally flew past our hotel and we had to stop him so he could drop us on a mid carriageway near by. Ps love Tel Aviv Not the tour for us
