“Haenyeo”. This is the word to refer those female divers who works especially under the sea in Korea. They gather seaweed, abalone, octopus, clams, sea urchin and other sea products. This word has meaning something special melting in their life beyond description itself as just a kind of job. In recent time, we are able to see them in Jeju Island only, far away one hour by airplane from the capital Seoul in Korea.

Seongsan Ilchulbong, also called ‘Sunrise Peak’, is an archetypal tuff cone formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions upon a shallow seabed about 5 thousand years ago. Situated on the eastern seaboard of Jeju Island and said to resemble a gigantic ancient castle, this tuff cone is 182 meters high, has a preserved bowl-like crater and also displays diverse inner structures resulting from the sea cliff.
- Seopjikoji - Seopjikoji is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju Island and boasts a fantastic scenery especially in April when yellow canola flowers are in full bloom. “Seopji” is the old name for the area, and “Koji” is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land.

Yongmeori Coast - Yongmeori Coast is a volcanic beach made of ash emitted during violent explosions occurring when hot magna coming from underground met the cold seawater. Going down the narrow path to the beach, you can also see a sandstone cliff. Its name, Yongmeori (it literally means a dragon’s head) comes from its resemblance to a dragon appearing ready to plunge deep into the sea. Sanbangsan Mountain - Sanbangsan, rising to a height of 395 meters is a typical dome-shaped, craterless volcano. Its name, Sanbang, originates from a natural stone cave formed in the middle of the mountain. Inside the cave, called Sanbanggulsa Temple, there is a statue of the Buddha. According to a legend, water drops from the cave ceiling are the tears of love shed by the goddess who protects Sanbangsan’s stone walls.

Cheonjeyeon Falls - Cheonjeyeon Falls, named “The Pond of God,” consists of 3 sections. Around the falls, a variety of plant life thrives, such as the rare ‘solimnan’ reeds. To the east, there is a cave where cold water pours from the ceiling to create the first waterfall. The water gathers into a pool and from there, falls two more times, creating the second and third waterfalls, which then flow into the sea.

Manjanggul Cave - UNESCO Heritage Manjang Cave [UNESCO World Heritage] is presently closed for construction to prevent falls. It is slated to reopen in August 2025. Throughout the construction phase, it will be substituted by either ‘Jeju Stone Park’ or ‘Eco land Theme Park’.

- For each additional hour, it costs 30,000 KRW (regular taxi) to 40,000 KRW (jumbo taxi). Payment is made directly to the driver
- If Manjanggul Lava Tube is closed (on the first Wednesday of every month), Jeju Haenyeo Museum will be offered as an alternative tour
- You can choose between two types of English-speaking drivers: a little English-speaking driver for an additional charge of USD 35 per day or an advanced English-speaking driver for an additional charge of USD 70 per day
- Pickup and drop-off outside of downtown Jeju City will incur an extra charge of 30,000 to 120,000 KRW
- For each additional hour, it costs 50,000 KRW(Van) to 70,000 KRW(Mini-bus). Payment is made directly to the guide
- Please note that if you exceed the tour time, an additional fee will be charged for every 30 minutes. The fees are as follows: Regular taxi - 15,000 won, Jumbo taxi - 20,000 won, Van - 25,000 won, Minibus - 35,000 won per 30 minutes.
