- Seongsan Ilchulbong - Recognized as Jeju’s top natural heritage site, Seongsan Ilchulbong is a must-visit. Known for its Haenyeo (female diver) performances at 2 PM, these shows are canceled in bad weather. Formed by volcanic activity, the peak resembles a castle and offers a stunning sunrise view. The climb to the top takes about 30 minutes, and from there, you can watch the Haenyeo performance. Seongsan Ilchulbong is one of Jeju’s top 10 scenic spots and is closed on the first Monday of each month, though the path to the Haenyeo performance beach remains open.
- Seongeup Folk Village - This village showcases traditional thatched houses and was once the heart of Jeju. Historically, it supplied horses and cattle to the king. Visitors can explore the traditional homes and even see an old-style toilet. Walking through the stone wall alleys offers a glimpse into Jeju’s past, and you can also try on a Hanbok.
- Sangumburi Crater - Sangumburi Crater, a parasitic volcanic crater of Hallasan Mountain, is the only submerged volcano on Jeju Island. With an outer circumference of 2,067m and a depth of 100-146m, it features a conical cliff. The crater, which rarely emitted lava, is unique in Korea and one of the few such formations worldwide.
- Jeju Stone Park - This museum and ecological park celebrates Jeju Island’s stone culture. Spanning about 1 million square meters, it features stone statues and themes based on Jeju’s creation myths, Seolmundae Halmang and General Obaek.
- Seopjikoji - Known for its scenic beauty and as a filming location for Korean dramas, Seopjikoji is a cape facing the sea. Located south of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, it offers views of the open sea and rapeseed fields. The area features a lighthouse and a fire station built from volcanic rock. Seopjikoji is highly recommended by CNN as a top tourist destination. The tour includes a walk along the beach road, past the lighthouse, and ends at a waiting vehicle.
