Jeep tour in Tijuca! - We had SO much fun on this excursion! Was our last day in Rio and couldn’t have chosen a better way to end our trip. Our guide (also the owner) was friendly and funny and informative. Plus the ride through the city to get to the park was a bonus! Swimming at the waterfall also a highlight. Highly recommend.

There's Wild Country just minutes above the city - Sylva is a sensitive and engaging guide with a great sense of humor. Not a bad driver either. Our trip took us to several water features, great views, monkeys and tapirs and giant trees while learning about the National Park's flora and fauna. Brazil must have been a paradise when the forest covered the entire Atlantic Coast, and this trip helps us imagine those days.

Breathtaking waterfall - The tour started with a very nice welcoming greeting and a great smile. It’s an interesting part of the city where you can see urban life blending in with the forest. You go up to 450m above sea level and have a breathtaking view from many different angles of the city. You can smell the forest, it is surrounded by jackfruit trees, and then head to the waterfalls. The first waterfall is not that impressive but after doing a 10 minutes hiking in the forest you’ll face an amazing pool of natural water running from the waterfall. You’ll climb a few rocks to go to another pool which is extremely worth seeing it. Silva is a helpful guide and knowledgeable with good recommendations and great English level.

Fun at Tijuca park - Interesting, fun and insightful tour of Tijuca park. Silva, our guide, was absolutely amazing and authentic. It was very obvious that he has love and personal ties/experiences in the forest and he transferred a lot of his knowledge about the history and the culture over to us.I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone that enjoys nature and is interested in learning about the ecosystem of a rainforest and the history of Tijuca.

Amazing Hike Experience - It was an amazing experience. Evandro is a brilliant guide and he made the whole hike Fun for us. Unfortunately it was raining and we could not make the most of the hike and waterfalls but still it was an amazing experience. Highly recommended if anyone comes to Rio. Make sure you book this with tour with Bambui Tours

Group tour that became a solo personalised tour - The weather was not great and Evandro offered me a refund if I wanted. I decided to press ahead anyway since it was my last day in Brazil. I had the benefit of a completely private tour since the only other guest decided to cancel! Evandro was warm and friendly and seemed knowledgeable. We managed to take some of the hike but as the rain came down it prevented us from completing it. Evandro explained he could no longer continue in a safe way (some parts of the route were rocky which become very slippery in wet weather). We opted to walk a little on an alternative route still through the forest but on the road that passes through it. The road was closed to traffic so this was pretty quiet and I enjoyed some more time chatting with him until I decided to call it a day as there's only so much rain that I can take!

Exhilarating Hike with Evandro - The private tour of Tijuca Forest has to be one of my highlights of Brazil, and I'm glad I didn't attempt it myself. We took the tour at our own pace, which with a group tour, would have been hard for me to keep up. We stopped to see 2 waterfalls and enjoyed dipping our feet. He then took us to the infamous Vista Chinese where the view of Rio was just spectacular. As he was driving us home he was kind enough to stop in places so we could take more pictures of different views. He seemed to tailor the tour to what my aunt and I enjoyed the most, and that's what makes him a amazing tour guide. He also speaks very good English and is very knowledgeable about the whole of Rio. I will definelty use Bambui tours next time I visit Rio. And I have found a new friend in Evandro.
